We stayed at Fern Lee for our final night of walking Hadrians Wall Path. The room was lovely and the owners had thought of everything for tired walkers. Really warm welcome and a great breakfast in the morning too.

Good place to stop over for a nights rest. Very accommodative and cordial staff. Looked like an all ladies run place. Decent spread of breakfast which was functional no extravagance. Located close to a bar so makes it even better.

This guest house was a delight. The welcome was first class as was the accommodation and breakfast. The location, within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of the city centre where there are many places to eat.

Altogether enjoyable stay, albeit brief. Comfortable and clean with an excellent breakfast and a cheery smile, always a good start to your day. Just a short stroll into the city centre for some retail therapy or hit the road across the border into Scotland for some excellent scenery or even down to the Lake District. Fern Lee perfectly placed for...

Really convenient for Carlisle. Excellent breakfast including special items. As cold weather had come hosts provided a fan heater to ensure the room heated quickly. Excellent value for money. Near good local restaurants.

My friend and I stayed here during our walk of Hadrian's Wall. We arrived, tired and hungry, after a long walk and were very happy to arrive. The room was cosy and comfortable, at almost the top of the house. All was clean and tidy, and roomy enough for our stuff as we spread out. We went to a local...

I had no problem at night with falling asleep, even with the...

After completing a trek along Hadrian's Wall Path we were glad to get to our accommodation's. But we got there a little early, not check ins before 3pm without special arrangement. the Guest house is on a busy road on the outskirts of the town center, but at night its quiet enough. Room was a good size, bed comfy, bathroom...

We turned up pretty late one wet Sunday night and couldn't have received a warmer, friendlier welcome. Mark helped us lug our bags upstairs before pointing us to an excellent local pub just five minutes away for supper. Our triple room was spot on with a well-equipped en-suite. We had a good chat with Debbie over a full English breakfast...
