Stayed here for one night whilst cycling End to End. Norman the owner has been a cyclist himself and was very chatty about it. He also gave good advice on places to eat. Decor is quite elaborate and chintzy, e.g. there was a large, old fashioned chest of drawers in the en-suite. Breakfast was really good.

This was our first visit to Langleigh House but definitely NOT our last. We stayed for four nights and were very warmly greeted by Norman and Yvette our hosts. This is a very beautiful Victorian House which is resplendent with opulent rooms, which had lovely little finishing touches, fresh fruit and bottled water. There is also a secret garden, which... This was my second stay at Langleigh House and my absolute "Go to" when staying in the area. The accommodations once again exceeded my expectations! I was greeted so warmly, I felt right at home. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the beds so comfortable and inviting and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was delicious. I won't stay anywhere else. Yvette... More

We had a very warm welcome from Yvette and Norman when we arrived. The house is beautiful. It is well maintained, warm, well furnished and comfortable. It is an easy walk to Carlisle town centre. Breakfast was tasty and served in a comfortable dining room.

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights after our Hadrian Wall adventure & it was just heaven having a B&B like the Langleigh Guest House! I am writing on behalf of my sister who was travelling alone and stayed here overnight on 2nd September 2016. She was more than happy with her stay and found the staff welcoming and the accommodation comfortable with really deep mattresses! Breakfast was also worth waking up to!

We had booked two double rooms. We arrived and the hostess asked if the other couple were mother and son; luckily, the other couple (2 years age difference) didn't hear that. We were asked if we were husband and wife. We had booked 2 double rooms, that is all they needed to know. Hostess needs to reign in her "okey... More

The landlord and landlady won't get the UN award for diplomacy, but Langleigh is a cosy, comfortable B&B close to the centre of Carlisle. The decor is best described as "Victorian opulence" so it won't suit fans of modern minimalism, but the atmosphere is welcoming and the whole place gleams from top to bottom. The antique silver in the dining... More

The Langleigh had everything you could ask of a guest house but somehow didn't have the X factor. The room was ok, but too much, too big furniture leaving very little room to move around, including the bathroom which had a roll-top bath and no shower. Power points for charging gadgets were scarce. The furniture problem was also found in... More

We have left the quaint county B&Bs and arrived at a most excellent one in urban Carlisle. It is of late Victorian era, filled with antiques and lovely appointments. Yvette, the proprietor is not only a gracious hostess and artful desiginer, she is also a trained and experienced chef. The room is large and the bath modern. The room decor... More
