My husband and I called in to the Fox today unexpectedly. We ordered omelettes and were massively impressed. Lovely comfortable seats, relaxed friendly atmosphere and family oriented. WeI will go out of our way to return, and can't wait to try other food.

During a recent trip to London, my friends and I decided to travel somewhere off the beaten path of typical English tourism. We settled on Colchester, as it's full of history relating back to the Roman occupation. What we wanted was something very different from the modern feel of what most of London had to offer. We found the Sleepy...

I stayed with my disabled mother and found the bedroom very comfortable - the disabled friendly wet room was perfect for my mother's needs. Zoe couldn't have been more friendly and helpful right down to giving us directions to the next place we were visiting. The cooked breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble! Thank you!

Stayed here for two weeks and all started well. However after a few days complained about lack of cleaning and staff and locals soon closed ranks. Towels weren't swaped for clean for up to 4 days at a time and room wasn't cleaned once. Very unprofessional staff. Rooms were well presented but completely impracticable. Will not stay again.

Was here for a night while touring London and the surrounding area and it was amazing. The owner and her staff take amazing care of you and really treat you like family. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I come back to the area. Huge thumbs up from the States.

This B&B was super. Incredibly friendly staff, good food and excellent rooms. The rooms are spacious with huge wet rooms. Comfy beds. You'll need to ask for a hair dryer though. Huge and very good quality full English breakfasts. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the pub has a nice feel to it. Well done all

We also stayed at The sleepy Fox from 27th December and had breakfast which was superb. We heard the complaints being made by the previous review and really felt for the staff who were trying really hard to please people who were obviously not going to be satisfied no matter what was offered. Tea and coffee was made individually in...

We stayed for two nights from 27 December. The room was clean, the bed was good with good bedlinen. The bathroom was also good but the light did not work over the mirror - we know this had been reported by the people in the room previous to us because we know them. There was a lack of bedroom furniture...

The Sleepy Fox is cool! Really large bedrooms and wetrooms which are situated in chalets on the other side of the pub car park - so convenient. Underfloor heating kept the rooms constantly warm. The full English breakfasts were really well cooked, and Zoe went out of her way to get some fresh grapefruit and pineapple as well as muesli....
