I had lamb roast dinner - the lamb was excellent just fell apart - my other half had fish and chips which was massive! Service was excellent - can't wait to go again! The owner was so helpful and gave us the table we (I) really wanted - such a lovely old building

We had lunch here recently and it was very good no complaints food was hot and well cooked and a good variety on the menu. Food was served by very friendly staff and I would certainly go again as I live local to this resturant.

Such a disappointment. Used to love this pub and always took family and friends. After our last two visits couldn't believe how down hill it had gone. We took my husbands elderly aunt and uncle for lunch. Tables dirty, food poor and service shoddy. Also had to wait for ages for our meals although resturant nearly empty. Our next visit...

We visited the Peldon Rose, whilst on holiday in Mersea ,quaint pub with lovely conservatory . Staff were accommodating. Food excellent ,I can recommend The mushroom tagliatelle. My daughter had the raspberry soufflé and I had a mouthful of it and it was amazing . Loved it there .

Whilst the staff were very friendly, the service was slow and poor. We had to constantly ask for cutlery, napkins, plates, salt. The Red wine was served in a cooler 😕 so obviously the staff need training. The building itself was grubby and tatty. When we did get our food it looked like we had received children's portions, the men...

Although it's a £12 taxi ride from where we live (which makes it a not-so-cheap evening out), it's well-worth doing once in a while. It's a lovely old pub, the staff are friendly, and the food when we visited was outstanding. The atmosphere, service, and of course, our meal are very good reasons to go again. Not cheap eats, by...

Large car park. Beautiful old pub. We ate mid-week. Decided to eat in the conservatory rather than in the bar area. Order taken very fast by a very pleasant young man. Ordered lemon sole off their specials board - beautifully cooked and served with new potatoes. The only downside was the amount of time we had to wait 35 mins...

Came here twice for a meal when we stayed at Coopers beach. I have to say what excellent food they serve here. We had the mushroom tagliatelle, peldon burger, fish and chips and kids sausage off the menu and would highly recommend them. The staff give excellent service and it was a pleasure to dine here on both occasions.

This is a lovely traditional pub with a great atmosphere however it has had a lot of changes of management over the past few years. We live locally and have been here many times but lately it is really changed and not for the better. The food was always good above average for a pub meal with good service. However,...

I went here with my family last Sunday and had a great time. My 2 young daughters were able to play on the bouncy castle and we had a few drinks whilst we waited for our Sunday lunch which was really good!! It was so nice we decided to stay for a few more drinks and ended up staying all...
