The MX5 Owners Club was looking for a new meeting venue last year, we moved to The Rockingham Arms as it was central within our area S and HD postal codes, it has good parking, excellent hand pulled beers and value for money food. Also Glen and his staff were helpful had the right attitude. They even put a personalised...

Stayed here for two night, should have been 3 but the first night we booked at an Ibis hotel in Rotherham as we didn't know this place was dog friendly as it wasn't coming up in the searches. Called in on first day and they told us that dogs could stay in rooms and come in certain areas of the...

The weather outside was bitterly cold but the warm welcome from the friendly staff inside soon made up for it. After a lengthy bout of flu, it was good to get out for a bite to eat and catch up on news with an old friend. Where better to cosy up with well cooked food, service with a smile and...

Windows could not be open, therefore we had to sleep with a desktop sized fan next to the bed to at least have a breeze. Due to this, not much rest was had, the...

Stayed here for one night, there was late availability after a problem with a booking elsewhere. Check in was in the pub, next to a lovely open fire. We were taken over the road to the accommodation and in room 9 "Lady Isabel". The room seemed clean enough at first glance, although when you looked closer there were marks under...

We had pâté & mushrooms for starters; 3 bird roast & turkey dinner for mains & Xmas pudding & cheese cake for dessert. Although it was quite busy the staff were attentive & served...

Late lunch and the pub was still busy. We had booked and had not been before so it would have been nice to be told you need to order at the bar as we waited for someone to come and take our order. Started with the pate which came with toasted pieces of baguette. The baguette would have been better...
