We had a very comfortable couple of nights at the Woodthorpe b&b. The sea view room was lovely and immaculate. Amanda the landlady is nothing like the "Moody" person portrayed in some reviews, efficient - yes, very busy - yes and approachable. We were met with smiles and a welcome. So, yes I do recommend it.

Stayed at the Woodthorpe last weekend. The building is a nice old place with a decent layout. The only niggles we were we felt the lady who owned the place was a little 'over the top' about the do's and don't's- how to lock the door ( repeated about 3 times)- felt rather unwelcoming and patronising which isn't a great... Me and my partner stayed for one night in August- when we arrived (which didn't take long from the clock tower, very good location) we was stood ringing the door bell(s) for around 10 minutes, there was a dog running up and down the stairs barking, we wasn't warned in advance that there was a dog that lived at the... I am 75 year old great grandmother. My partner a pensioner also. We visited this month (August 2016). Upon arrival we were met by Amanda who was quite friendly and informed us about parking and dos and donts regarding coming and goings. We travel with quite a lot of items due to personal problems. My partner and I have a... More

The guest house is basic, clean and situated very near to the amenities and sea front. Amanda, the owner was friendly and welcoming. We were free to come and go as we wished. We didn't have breakfast but the dining room looked very nice. There is free parking at the rear of the property too.

We ( my wife and I) stayed for one night at this excellent Guest House(not a hotel) very close to the beach at Skegness north shore and sand dunes. Our host Amanda could not have been more helpful.Excellent facilities included a first floor and very bright bedroom looking out to the sea.The following mornings full english breakfast (cooked to order)... If I could give this 'relaxed atmosphere' guest house a lower rating than 'terrible' then I would do so. Although 'Amanda' is supposedly quoted as an 'outstanding' land lady she could not be any further from it. Be prepared to be ridiculed if you dare to book a 'solo' visit to this establishment, as apparently she might get a 'bad... More

A quick last minute one nighter - we came across The Woodbridge on the internet on our journey to Skegness and called to book. Great value for money in a great alocation - free private parking, friendly welcome with comprehensive advice. Room was spacious, spotless and tastefully furnished - the seaview was lovely. As dog lovers ourselves, the fact that... More

We were welcomed by the owner with a friendly attitude, the family dog was also friendly. She explained everything we needed about the safety of the house e.g door safety not to let anyone in without a key etc which is is understandable and made you feel safe and comfortable whilst staying. We stayed for one night which was a... More
