My friend, Carol and I booked into the Savoy in skegness for one night. We were informed that evening.meal was extra and a cost of £4 for parking which I expected to cover on street parking. On arrival we were told to park the car round the back of the hotel IN THEIR CAR PARK so its £4 per night £25 a week extra. Disgusting just making money. We are both disabled and Carol uses a mobility scooter and.no help was offered with the luggage either from the car or to our rooms. Accommodation acceptable for the price. Evening I had 4 soggy battered scampi and Carol had soup which had no body to it. We both ordered pork loin both less than 5cm round and stuffing plus 2 potatoes and little carrot and broccoli the desert was cheesecake no more than 2.5 cm square with a teaspoon of cream that cost £19.95 EACH. We were at the theatre that night and needed crisps and drink because we were hungry. Breakfast was a little better. NEVER AGAIN nearly £100 each Would not recommend

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with a coach party for 2 nights. Booking in was easy and our room was on the second floor. There is a lift but it is only for 2 people. Our room, number 47, was very comfortable with a double and a single bed. The bathroom was very good with toiletries supplied. We had tea and coffee supplied and biscuits. The meals were excellent. At breakfast there was a buffet for cereals, juice and fruit etc. Then you ordered what you wanted from the menu which was served by waiters and waitresses. My only comment about the breakfasts was that you were offered a rack of toast and most of the time we noticed that some of them were still full. This appeared to be because lots of the guests had poached or scrambled eggs and other things served on toast so the additional toast was not eaten. The evening meals were excellent lots of choices and homemade desserts which were wonderful. There was entertainment in the bar on our second night. All in all we enjoyed our 2 days stay in this hotel

We stayed for just one night in a sea view room, which is great to sit and people watch. Had evening meal and breakfast which we had good choice. No entertainment on Saturday night but that didn't matter. We parked in there car park which was a bit tight if you have a large car. But lovely staff.

Although this hotel was lovely and clean here are the things that disappointed us. Firstly the room was tiny. A double. We had to side step around the bed and a third single bed had been squeezed in so there was no space at all. To get washed at the tiny sink means you can't be any bigger than a size 6 even then you would have To keep your arms by your side. The shower was just a trickle and not very hot. We had a view of a roof from our window. We had read there was nightly entertainment but there was nothing on. The bar drinks were extortionate prices. £4.30 A pint. We were not able to park at The Savoy but we're told there is plenty of pay and display car parks around or unrestricted streets around the back of the hotel. We walked a good way with our bags in pouring rain. We paid £100 per night for this and unfortunately we didn't think it was worth more than 50 including breakfast. Sorry for the disappointing review but we expected more from a hotel that we found listed in the top ten.

Just returned after two day visit to this lovely hotel. Staff really friendly and welcoming esp girl with pink hair not sure why she had bad reviews. Room was 37 first first floor sea view shame still building a KFC opposite no noise but does block view of sea. Room spotless small double but had extra bed if needed. Coffee and tea in the room and toiletries in bathroom. Staff were great and very helpful. Entertainment first night great and my wife was up dancing and singing with others she met. Great night think he was called Johnnie brilliant. Breakfast next day ok we had ours in the bar as the dining room was full with coach parties although quite happy to not be hemmed in. Second night terrible entertainment bloke called Pete awful should have been on Britains got talent and would have four buzzers people were just walking out. We did not have dinner at the hotel as liked to eat out but others said it was good. We def recommend Trawlers fish and chips just couple mins walk fish so large could have had shared between us. We had a great time at The Savoy and def recommend.
