Room 126..Bank Holiday Weekend... I had a bit of trouble initially checking in as there was some confusion over the payment, it unfortunately took a while to sort out, but it eventually got sorted, I have to say the room was adequate for our needs although the shower cubicle wasn't the largest and I'm not a big guy, and the floor boards creaked badly..and bathroom door squeeked and room door needed a bang to shut it...that's the negatives The positives really comfy bed and pillows great selection of complimentary drinks and biscuits and shower gel and soap, Over my two night stay the room was serviced before my return on day two, bed made new bath mat and wet towels removed, The room was clean and tidy I was overall pleased with the accommodation, The Food...Breakfast day one great we got a take away sandwich and a delicious coffee, which was all in takeaway cups etc... Day two.... Full English Breakfast..... Wow!!! Excellent Breakfast We were blown away by the sheer size and quality, black pudding was gorgeous and the bacon and sausage was nice too, and I received two eggs and three rashers of bacon loads of mushrooms and backed beans Wow!!.... see photo photos We would stay here again,

We stayed overnight, as we were attending a wedding nearby. During the day, we called ahead to say we were going to be there later. The staff were accommodating to this. We ended up checking in at midnight! Even though they were busy with the night time customers in the restaurant, the two ladies were very welcoming and friendly and didn't rush us (even though there was a queue behind us). The room was immaculately clean. A very comfortable night spent, and warm and friendly staff at breakfast time too. A lovely homely experience.
