We booked this hotel on its reviews. It has about 16 rooms attached to a bar/pub. The reception is a hatch at the bar which is a bit disconcerting if you're not used to that type of thing but the host was welcoming. Rooms are nicely set out. We were in room 16 which has a very narrow en suite... More

Visited the Mews Hotel last night for my partner's birthday. The pub/restaurant is really well set out with a nice friendly atmosphere. The food was really good I had the scampi and tempura king prawns followed by the seared fillet steak and king prawns in chilli gravy. Both were very well presented, well cooked and good portion size. My partner... More

Excellent food quality service warm environment traditional values caring of its community and a chilled out owner called Paul who loves mixing with the visitors. They have some lovely rooms for a stop over in some of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire.

Not really a hotel, more of a pub with rooms attached. Reception is a hatch way in the bar from which you collect your keys. Rooms are located around a large courtyard/ parking area, with some located above the pub itself - I would expect these to be noisy especially at the weekend. I was in the courtyard and had... More

Stayed for one night in a small double room with possibly the smallest ensuite ive ever seen, no room for a basin it was in the actual bedroom. The toilet was crammed in a corner with sliding door over a window, No room at all. Blinds very dusty and hardly shut. Windows unable to close properly. Toilet kept dripping after... More

The food was amazing along with the service, breakfast again very good. All the staff were very accommodating, will defiantly stay there again on... More

The Mews is actually our local and we have been coming here for years but I felt I had to write a review today for two reasons. One, I am new to writing reviews and two, the exceptional service we received today. The food and service has always been fantastic here, but today I ordered the sea bass and after... More

Very clean, rooms fine for the price, but not a real hotel as such. No reception, just an area in the bar. The food is quite good but as there is no separate restaurant you really feel that you are eating in a pub. In this day & age, I can't believe they are hand writing receipts! Overall v good... More

I've stayed here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and I enjoy it. Simple, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and a lovely menu. Popular with locals so really does feel like a community and home from home. Well done! Breakfast is varied and cooked to order. Great value for money and well recommended
