We stayed at Clow Beck for one night. Location by sat nav is a bit dodgy so get good directions before you go. The website really doesn't do justice to the fantastic work the owners have put into the facility. Our en suite room had clean and fresh decor. There was plenty of room in the bedroom and bathroom with...

as a frequent visitor to Darlington to see a customer this guesthouse was recommended to me by one of my customers employees, I have to say this place is sublime.. it has all the 5 star attributes of a modern hotel, the room was great and felt homely which is always appreciated. The service was fantastic but also very natural,...

I have stayed at the Clowbeck many times but not recently.I have to say still excellent and you are remembered rather than just a number.Excellent meals and accommodation with genuine empathy for customers. As I've said many times to others customer service isn't rocket science but so many places from 1 star to 5 star don't seem to have it or...

Stayed for a long weekend whilst attending a wedding. Beautiful grounds in a stunning location. Rooms comfortable and clean. But it is David and Heather and their staff make this a special retreat. BEWARE the breakfast is huge even too much for my husband - so you have been warned. Evening meals were excellent - you start by having a...

This has to be the best experience for an overnight stay anywhere. We've stayed 3 times now and each time is a delight. Attention to detail, welcome, quality and cleanliness of the entire place and the quality of the food is all second to none. We will be visiting again!

This hotel feels like a very upmarket B and B. The welcome, willingness of the owners to please and quality of service were outstanding. The grounds are impressive and make this an attractive venue in the summer. The food was plentiful but lacked finesse. The wine list was extensive but the cost of the dessert wine was exorbitant. Overall a...

What a place. You can feel the touch of the owners in every corner. Everything so nice - buildings, rooms, restaurant and the large garden - attended by Heather. Where else you can walk through the kitchen, and watch David prepering the tasty meals? Splendid! Pity we spent only 2 nights.

Well signposted from the main road, excellentl first impression as you enter the winding driveway down to the hotel, beautiful views over open countryside from my room, heather and David are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, David is an excellent chef, my room was beautifully furnished and certainly had the wow factor for me.
