By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was far too hot when we arrived, never managed to cool the room down even with switching the radiator off and opening the window as far as possible, making it near impossible to sleep. Bed was uncomfortable and generally decor was dated and unattractive. Also found dust along the...

Excellent hotel , very clean and comfortable room, very clean towels and bedding etc, and the staff are very helpful and courteous, I would definately recommend this hotel , and if you want breakfast go next door into the white horse pub and get a full english breakfast and unlimited tea and coffee at a very reasonable price, absolutely to die...

Having read other reviews before booking this hotel we were prepared. As said in other reviews it is not the Ritz but we were pleasantly surprised. The entrance/reception and access areas had a good standard of decoration. The bedroom was excellently appointed. We had a three bedded room which was very convenient as we were in the area for a...

We needed somewhere to stay when we came to Darlington for a family emergency. You get what you pay for. The car park was full of white vans so we knew what we were in for. The welcome was just that. Hello, here is your key. The room was large, even if cold (but we turned the radiator on)and the...

Don't expect all the trimmings of The Ritz. You get what you pay for and this was very reasonably priced. That said, the room was very hot and stuffy and despite closing the window at bedtime we had to open it up due to stuffiness of room. Given that we were facing onto a busy main road - even through...

Wanted a room only for one night and this was just the ticket. We like a room above ground floor so we can have the windows open we was given one on the ground floor. Not a problem they changed our room straight away without a fuss. Rooms are clean and there is tea making facilities.

Paying £40 per room we expected less than what we got. Yes the rooms are dated but they are clean and tea/coffee making facilities were provided. The hairdryer was broken, the bathroom could have done with an update and the radiator was on full and couldn't switch off but it didn't spoil our stay one bit. Convenient for where we...

Certainly not the Ritz, but for the price you pay for the rooms its not bad, could do with a little updating, and some repair work, unfortunately lift was out of order when we were there, and carpet coming loose on the stairs up to our room. But it was clean, room was spacious. Really only thing I could complain...
