We had been to a funeral wake at the hotel. Decided to come have a meal there with family as everybody would be travelling home the next day. My parents and my partner ordered Fish and Chips and I ordered Scampi. When the meal arrived we noticed that all the batter on the fish was overdone. It was a very...

We were allocated a fairly large room with a view of a moss covered roof, no harbour views for us. Extremely creaky floor. The shower did not work but was eventually repaired. One of the bedside lights was faulty and was eventually repaired. There were a couple of cigarette burns on the bedside cabinet, a clue as to how long...

We have just spent two nights here. The room was extremely large with a beautiful view overlooking the harbour. The bathroom not only had a bath but also a walk-in shower cubicle. The interior of the hotel seems to have been recently refurbished with all areas being very clean and bright. The staff are extremely pleasant, in particular Lou who...

As others have implied, this place has so much potential but it is heavily wasted. We'll start with the room - 301. The most important part is the bed. Here you have 2 doubles (aka 1950's) and they are 2 of the most uncomfortable mattresses known to man, especially the one closest to the window. They are completely worn out...

Stayed here for 2 nts while visiting family in the area. We took our little dog, they charge £10 per visit, she wasn't aloud in the main restaurant but was in the bar area where we had breakfast and dinner the first night. Lovely views from our room looking out to the harbour entrance, I would go back to this...

Had a lovely breakfast overlooking Poole Harbour, the food was well cooked and the 2 staff Natalie and Shelby were excellent in making our working party welcome. Take advantage of their 2 for 1 breakfast hopefully they will carry it on throughout the year.

We had a room at the side of the hotel and so looked out over the harbour which was great even in the rain. Perhaps some more money could be injected into the hotel to spruce it up a bit as it looking a bit tired in places as it is in a fantastic location. The breakfasts are very big...

I had to find a place to stay overnight in Poole with my dog and this came up. The staff were nice, the decor is not spectacular - a little outdated - but there is nothing wrong with it and my room was clean and spacious, with a good sized bathroom. They provide a very nice brand of soap, shampoo,...

Overnight business stay. Booking process was simple, welcome was warm, room was a little tired in terms of decoration but bed was comfortable with good quality linen and towels. Restaurant for meals and breakfast was light and bright with the sun blaring through the windows. Service was good at both evening meal and breakfast and like other reviews..... not quite...
