It was our second visit to Hotel du Vin in Poole and it is lovely base for exploring Dorset. Browsea Island is a short ferry ride away and well worth a visit. St James church is opposite the hotel and a has a lovely interior. Well worth a visit. The hotel rooms are well appointed and the restaurant offers a... More

Really atmospheric and classy hotel, with great food and friendly service that you expect from Hotel du Vin. We were upgraded to a better room, with balcony and large bath in the room, which was great. The only thing stopping it being 5 star is the lack of parking. We had to park in a town centre car park, 300m... More

This place was hugely disappointing for the £172 per night (for a single person) price tag. Little extra costs everywhere, I was worried there might be a charge for running a bath! Room beautifully presented with huge tray of snacks, all overpriced. They don't even provide an in-room biscuit. Everything is chargeable. I am gluten intolerant, and told them this... More

Our stay here was very comfortable, the staff friendly and professional, much better than most hotels we have stayed in. The room was amazing, the food was excellent. The wine is good (as to be expected from the name of the hotel), although a bit over priced in our opinion. The only issue we had (as did others), was the... More

We dined last Friday evening on the bistro terrace in evening sunshine.. we love coming here for the warm welcome from the staff and the fabulous food. We shared Les Fruits De Mer platter which was beautifully presented and full of fresh flavours of the sea. We are looking forward to returning next month to celebrate our anniversary in our... More

We had booked to stay as a final night treat at the end of our recent road trip. From arrival to departure we did not feel valued, listened to or respected by certain members of staff particularly reception. We had booked this hotel on the basis of available parking onsite and for convenience of location to the harbour from where... More

Dear Rick_Le_Brun, thank you for your feedback and we make it very clear on our website that parking is very limited and on a first come first serve basis. Also on our confirmation emails we make note of same. Our lovely hotel, which is located in the historic old town of Poole is over 250 years old and Grade II... More

Lovely hotel in the heart of Poole old town for a two night stay. Accommodation great, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and we were very well looked after. Will definitely be back. We booked two rooms which were spacious and the studio had a fantastic shower, not sure about the bath in middle of room, but everything great. Enjoyed drinks on... More

Our lunch was nice, competently cooked; the only question we were left with, was: whether it was worth £75 for two inc some wine, I'm not sure. The food was nice, a good choice was the Sole which apparently was excellent.

I arrived hoping we had been upgraded but wasn't the case, however the receptionist said we wouldn't be disappointed with the room. Apart from all the stairs the room was lovely, huge, dual aspect looking over the road and the car park. Once we had a luggage up the stairs weren't too much of problem but mention it if it... More

My partner and I stayed in the hotel and did the Friday special offer for £259 per night which included dinner, champagne and breakfast. The bad points: Only 7 parking spaces - this meant we had to park our £100k car in a multi story car park. We were worried all evening about parking it there and couldn't relax. We... More

Dear maezy321, thank you for your feedback and comments which I have also forwarded to the rest of the team.
