I forgot to book anywhere for mothers day (terrible I know!) so when I walked up to the bar and asked if I would be able to eat with my mum it was so refreshing to be greeted not with a are-you-kidding-me tone, not with rolled eyes, but with a chirpy 'of course!' friendly smile and an explanation of their...

We have stayed at this hotel many times before including twice over the Christmas period so booked again for last Christmas for a period of 6 nights but were bitterly disappointed And really sorry to see such a normally friendly hotel completely loosed the plot. The heating had broken down on the 7th December but the management didn't bother to...

Great location in the old part of town, half way between the railway station and the ferry terminal. The Smugglers Ale on offer in the bar was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful but that's where the compliments run out really. My room was a single but it was compact to the point that cat swinging was clearly out...

We stayed for 2 nights beginning of March. The room 14 was quite small & up 3 flights of stairs but I suppose adequate. The bathmat was total black mould on the bottom of it. Quite noisy as at front of hotel above walkway where the smokers congregate. The breakfast was quite strange and the other person was right you...

Stayed for a few nights 28/02 - 03/03/2017. We had a double room which really was a very small double with breakfast included in our stay. The food was good but unfortunately the young lady serving us each morning was always in such a rush to the extent that when entering the restaurant she would ask if we required white...

We had decided that we was going to pop in for some dinner on the Friday evening, lots drinkers at the bar but a perfect little snug around the corner. Dog friendly which was a plus for our 4 legged friend. The Carling was spot on beautiful pint, Shame the food doesn't compare. We ordered the sharer with garlic bread,...

My partner and I stayed at the Antelope Hotel. It's in a great location, we were warmly welcomed on our arrival. The room was clean. Bed was comfy and breakfast was very pleasant. It was also very reasonable for two people at £70 for the night, including breakfast. I would recommend it. John x

In less then a minute you're at Poole Quay, so the location is great. The room was comfortable, and good value. I checked out price on Expedia and rang up and was quoted a price £10 cheaper! Great breakfast, but also went to the pub in the evening and had fantastic fish and chips.

Our friends have stayed here before but this was our first time. Great hotel with lots of character, friendly staff in a perfect location. We stayed in room 6, and our friends in room 2. Rooms were had everything in them that we needed. Breakfast was served in the old part of the building, big room with lovely exposed brick,...

I know it's an old building but that's no excuse for letting standards slip so low. The rooms are quite a reasonable size and if you prefer super soft Beds then you will like these. But the bathrooms are appalling. Toilet seat stained yellow. I mean come on, how much does it cost to replace a white plastic toilet seat...
