Although we did not stay at the hotel, I would highly recommend having a drink at the bar overlooking the chain ferry and harbour. A bit pricey but well worth it to relax over a drink with friends, watching the ferry move back and forth and other boats and ferries enter and leave the harbour.

Booking two months ahead for our 10 day stay we were still unable to secure a sea-view room without two changes so settled for rear room with carpark views. We felt this side was quieter, and got the morning light. Room spacious and well-equipped, bathroom sizeable too. Bed very comfortable, cleaning impeccable. Free wiki on request, should you need it.... More

We stayed in a family room with our two children and were in the area for a family wedding. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, pool and location gorgeous. A comfy sleep and good breakfast though it's a buffet which I guess is how all big hotels do things these days. We didn't use the restaurant so can't say anything... More

We went for lunch at 'The Point', having pre-booked our evening meal here, wishing to see the refurb. I asked for a table for two and was taken straight to said table and given menu's, however these were for 'meals' not snacks; when I explained, we were moved to the far end of the inside restaurant area, once we had... Just had a fantastic 5 nights stay at this hotel and have to say it's been fantastic lovely room spotlessly clean and balcony a bonus, the staff were marvellous so kind and helpful. The breakfast was the best we've ever had so plentiful and excellent variety and good quality. Will never understand what people grumble about. A big thank you... More

We went as a family trip in the UK as my mother suffers from dementia and we went the year before and had a lovely time. The hotel is in an amazing location and if you get a Sea View room then it is lovely but the rooms can vary in sizes quite a bit. My Aunty and I had... More

Ok there are a few very minor grumbles about some parts looking tired and the lift was small but easily fitted in two people with cases. There are rooms that have already been renovated, apparently just ask for one if available. I was attending a 3 day work event so the room wasn't that important and I cannot comment on... More

Visited this hotel to relax and have a drink in the bar which has a fantastic location looking out onto the entrance of Poole Harbour. We found no staff in the bar on our arrival (early evening) and when someone did appear, we had to wait for service as they had 'run out of glasses' and had to find some.... More

I won an award at work and booked myself a Virgin experience voucher and chose the Haven Hotel. This is not a 4* hotel. It's tired and dated. Breakfast was disgusting... cheap nasty sausages, tough hard hash browns and the mushrooms were vile. Bathroom incredibly dated, awful curtains which don't even match, old scuffed furniture. What a let down.

The Haven Hotel is a luxurious four-star spa hideaway. Perched at the tip of the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula in Poole and surrounded by sea and sand. With direct access to seven miles of beaches and just a couple of steps away from Purbeck over the Shell Bay chain ferry. It’s your gateway to South Coast adventure. Featuring elegant and spaciously designed bedrooms with modern creature comforts. Many of which offer ocean view balconies, so that you can embrace the sea air in your pyjamas. We believe that these naturally beautiful surroundings deserve food that’s a little special. La Roche at the Haven Hotel offers an ambient place to dine. Highly acclaimed by locals and recognised for first-class service and exceptional quality with two prestigious AA-Rosettes. Maintained by the talent and skill of Head Chef Jason Hornbuckle. When the Sandbanks sun shines, our terrace is an enviable spot for alfresco dining. You can literally hear the waves crashing as you recline with a glass of wine. Relaxation is often thought of as a luxury; at the Haven Spa we think it’s a necessity. Haven Spa is a sanctuary to unwind your mind and come to your senses.
