Booked into The Crown Hotel as we had a wedding to go to nearby in Sandbanks. From looking over the website and photos of the room, we originally thought we were quite lucky to find such a nice hotel in close proximity on Bank Holiday Weekend. The room from the website appeared modern and well kept which suited our purposes...

Nice reception on arrival with plenty of help securing a room for my dog and I. Rooms were pretty straightforward with coffee etc. I was in the poor mans room so separate bathroom. Just a shame they don't do breakfast. Nice location with beautiful old architecture all around and spoilt for choice in pubs and restaurants all within a stones...

After having a meal which we wasn't at all happy with we let our waiter, "the owner apparently" know about our bad experience with the food we ordered to which she replied. "I'LL TAKE IT OFF THE BILL!!!!" And snatched the bill off the table and marched off mumbling to herself, her reaction left us speechless. After several minutes went...

Lovely old restaurant with food that is some of the best tasted in years. Great menu and good prices. Would highly recommend. The choices are good for all palates and cooked to perfection. The seafood platter for a starter was one of the best ever and the mushroom and mustard sauce to accompany the steak was the best ever

The hotel itself was nothing like it looks like in the photos and the bed were to small. People were smoking in the communal toilets and using...

The Crown hotel has good ratings on TripAdvisor. We realised that it was for the restaurant and not for the room. It is quite expensive. We got the impression that the room and hall had not been hoovered. The doors and stair bannister was dirty and need to be cleaned. The bedside lamps didn't work. A Quick fix solved the...
