Customer service gets a FULL FIVE STARS! Staff were friendly and very helpful - nothing seemed to be too much trouble. As usual the room was clean, towels soft and everything in good order - as I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn. However, I’m giving only 3 stars as the room was so unbearably hot I struggled to sleep on both nights. The hotel had kindly provided a fan, but despite having it on full all night the room was still very uncomfortable. For safety reasons the window wouldn’t fully open (2nd floor so totally understandable) and we had some very hot days, so I appreciate that conditions were challenging - but it didn’t make for the best of stays. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay in winter though! :)

The carpet smelled of urine, the room smelt damp and had mould spores on the net curtain and skirting board. Bathroom was clean. Bed was comfy. No communication re changing of towels/ tea and coffee etc with new covid rules.

After staying in this hotel for many months, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for a lovely stay under these challenging times. Although the pub was closed anything that was asked of the staff to make my stay a comfortable one, and was done ASAP, and this was repeated on a weekly basis ready for my return every Monday. A extra special thank you to Tara who was always happy to help and good fun to chat too when possible with a big smile and is a credit to your company and I will miss our chats but unfortunately from Thursday the 1st April my work in Hitchin is finished. I wish all the staff at your Stevenage North Hotel a safe and well future and I will definitely book here again if next in the area. Keith Generator Power
