#1 of 18 hotels in Ipswich
Travelers' Choice
This artfully designed boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Suffolk reflects luxury and dazzles in the waterfront of Ipswich's vibrant Harbour quayside at night. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel goes beyond what you expect and exudes its 4 star status in every curious corner, eccentric sofa and unstuffy cushion. The sea-salted brickwork exterior has been restored & rejuvenated into a ship shape contemporary warehouse of rich modern interiors and rooms adorned with vintage furniture, sculptures and eclectic art. Within its comfy chic decor, although the mood is friendly and relaxed, the staff are professionally attentive to your every need. The cuisine is exciting and the popularity of the Salthouse Eaterie fills this delightful waterfront restaurant as soon as the tables are laid.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. It’s an impressive hotel, with cool views, great food and beverage facilities. Nicely appointed high-end rooms, super clean. The staff were truly excellent and highly attentive. Definitely the place to stay in this neck of the woods.

We stayed for my husband's birthday and were upgraded to the most beautiful corner room on that basis. The staff helped keep our little tea party and birthday cake a surprise for him. Afternoon Tea and Breakfast were simply delicious. We were impressed by the furnishings and decor and by the range of drinks available for our late-night drink at the bar. We'll be back for sure!

Can’t praise the staff enough! Went for a weekend away and had the best experience ever. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel good and have the best time. Not only was the room absolutely beautiful and cosy (and that view..!) the food was to die for! Absolutely flawless, can’t wait to go back. Probably the first time I can’t point something wrong ☺️
