We were staying in Ipswich to attend a night out with friends. We found it difficult to locate hotels that could guarantee parking so decided on the Bridge Guest House as they have a very large car park on the side. We took the ensuite double. The manager emailed us a day or so before and asked how we wanted...

Booked in as reviews seemed ok.(some people must have very low standards)As soon as I walked in I knew this was a mistake.Decided to at least get to the room that I booked. On opening the door I was horrified.Paper peeling off, filler every where and thread bare carpet. The real shocker was this room was ensuite well cracked tiles with very old...

Nice place to stay, very friendly owner & staff with good breakfast. Fast Wi Fi connection in rooms. Clean, quiet & comfortable. Five minutes (if that) walk from the railway station. Basic, yes but you get what you pay for & I've paid a lot more for a lot worse.

This is a good place to stay. Very reasonable priced, clean and comfortable beds. There was a family group booking of 16 of us who just needed a place to rest for the night after attending a party in Ipswich. The owner Mr Hussain was very accommodating. So close to the Ipswich Train station and town center. Breakfast was very...

Booked a 5 night stay there due to work, It has off road parking and i was able to park a 7 ton lorry on. The inside of the place was very old fashioned which i found welcoming, its like visiting your nans house in the 80s. I was in room 7 a one bed room, which was incredibly comfortable,...

The best thing about this place is the breakfast which was okay, but only if u like Turkey bacon. The room was horrible and looks like it was last updated in 1985. The shared shower/toilet was an repugnant experience that I would not recommend and the tap water in the room had an unpleasant fizzing sensation. However it was extremely...

This hotel is in a great location for the station, very good value for money (half the price of the next cheapest hotel I could find when I booked), and the staff are very friendly. Don't be put off by the negative reviews which are unrealistic, yes it's not the ritz but then it doesn't pretend to be either. The...

I got booked to stay here with work, presumably because they wanted somewhere they wouldn't have to pay much - it was horrible. It is so in need of an update, my bedsheets had weird stains on them, the carpet was threadbare, it just needs a complete refurbishment. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because the...

I stayed for a night while waiting to catch a train the next day, and got what I was hoping for. The room was minimalist, clean and had all it needed, including tea, coffee and a kettle. The cooked breakfast was made well and filling, though it's worth pointing out that there are no pork products available. The wifi was...

Tired and dated guest house, good location, friendly staff. Checked out after 3 nights because of the noise (TVs on full volume, shouting banging on doors etc) manager was apologetic but you need to sleep when you've got work in the morning, no refund offered won't return. Not worth what we paid!
