Was a surprise getaway so had not booked here ourselves - potential for misgivings. From the moment we arrived Joni could not have been more accommodating, (made the effort to show us several room options, each one of a very high standard) At breakfast we were offered more choices than we've ever had at a BnB. It's all the small... More

We only stayed one night at the Clontarf but hope to return soon. The furniture and decor had a really nice boutiquey feel and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was excellent and Joni and Mark are great hosts who made us feel immediately welcome. The Clontarf is situated in a peaceful area at the West Shore but is just... More

Clontarf is a better than average B&B run by a pleasant couple. Our room was big enough with an excellent bathroom with all the amenities, soaps etc that you would expect. We slept well in the big comfortable bed. The supplied information booklet was full of useful information ref taxis, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Parking was limited, but... My favourite breakfast is at Carluccio's and breakfast at the Clontarf at least equals that but can boast a greater choice! Breakfast was cooked and presented beautifully and tasted delicious. I had home made granola and prunes to start and that was also delicious. The rooms, and due to my late booking I had to split my stay between two... More
