After reading the reviews they were up and down. But all I wanted was a clean place to put our heads and a car park. Of which this has both. Ideally situated for a short walk to town or the front and pier. Had a couple of lovely meals and I would highly recommend the steak at Lawtons grill! The... More

The Kensington Hotel was clean, friendly and although the food had a limited menu, it was good. Meal times were quite early. Whilst this was OK in the mornings when a coach trip was involved in our tour, 6:30pm for the evening meal (with no flexibility) was quite early and meant quite a rush on our daily return. As for... There are lots of hotels along the front which I feel are nicer than this one. The rooms are dated and whilst I stayed several had problems in them I.e. Broken shower, missing bulbs, leaks etc. The food was ok, but was a very 80's menus each night. I know this is probably because of the age group they cater... More

Having just spent a week at this hotel arranged through Rail Discoveries, I would like to make several points. Firstly the hotel is very clean and welcoming with all the facilities you could wish for; ie. bar, large well appointed dining room & fully carpeted. Secondly ALL meals were of a very high standard with three or four choices of... More

Friendly, well situated hotel right on the seafront. Room was small and compact but good for our short stay. Unfortunately our room overlooked the carpark and had water stains on the curtain, but over all was clean and well maintained. Comfy bed. Recommend the Snooze tapas bar in the town.

On arrival 22/07/16 we were given room 219, On entering the room, we observed a large damp patch with paint peeling off wall above window. The 'comfy' chair was very stained and not a nice thing to sit on. I am sure this could have been cleaned at some point previously The valance on the bed was blackened and singed,... More

yet another wonderful stay- three nights. The room was spacious and facing sea with en suite facilities. Lift to all floors. Rear secure carpark entered by keycode. Staff very helpful, pleasant and polite. Breakfast was excellent, good choice and well cooked and presented. There had been refurbishment since we last visited(year ago) and it was to a good, high standard.... More

Last Saturday we were stuck over what to do for the weekend so decided to go to Llandudno. Threw a few things in a bag and went. If we couldn't find somewhere to stay we would have been quite happy to drive home again. As fate sometimes works, the first parking space we found was outside the Kensington. My wife... More
