Stayed for three nights, the staff were very good and helpful, the rooms were cleaned and made up daily. The meals in the restaurant were very good and our waitress Barbara was excellent. The only downside to the restaurant was the crockery could do with replacing as a lot of it was chipped and tarnished. We stayed in room 327... More

Booked this hotel for a weekend break from the children. Great location and good sea view room. The communal areas need a decoration. But the food was terrible. For our Friday evening meal we chose ' fish & chips', how can this go wrong at the 'sea side'. The fish were exactly the same shape, clearly from a packet and... More

Just been to the Bay County Hotel in Llandudno with my mother. She has been wanting to go there for some time now. Hotel was lovely, as was the meals and staff. My mother had a great time and is now talking about going with the twin sisters when they come over from America. I just hope the weather is... More

We stayed here for 3nights, luckily we had booked a sea view room, which was small but acceptable, although the bathroom was very dated and the shower poor. I think some of the rooms would have no outlook at all and very depressing. We found the food quite nice, home cooking style. The restaurant staff worked very well and polite.... More

Return guests. Stayed with elderly parents having stayed here in August. They again had a superior Sea view which was lovely- nicely decorated and furnished. lovely toiletries and refreshment tray. I had a single sea view which was tiny and basic and to me unacceptable. The bed was across the window. I had also asked to be close to my... More

Dear Anne C I'm really pleased to read how impressed you were with our superior rooms and that you appreciated how hard the staff worked to make your stay enjoyable. Unfortunately all of our sea view single rooms are on third floor so its not possible to get one near to a superior room upgrading your room is always possible... More

Staff excellent, service and food really. When we arrived we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel. We asked to be moved to the front of the hotel to a sea view room and it was done immediately with no problems. Could do with a bit of talc but overall we had a lovely stay

We have visited numerous shearings hotels and although the location is good only a few reserved parking spaces available so parked on main road. We upgraded to a superior room with sea view which was fine but very hot as was the dining room. The disappointing factors were inadequate outside seating only 2 benches and with the typical age group... More

Dear Shelley L I do take your point about the seating outside the front of the Hotel but the grass verge or lawn as I prefer to call it is definitely not suitable for seating as it is directly outside guests bedrooms. Thank you for your suggestion I am really sorry to hear you will not return. Kind Regards Andy... More

First time in this hotel, it was a great place to stay and to explore the North Wales area. Our sea view room (205) was a nice quiet spot in the hotel. We had a pleasant waiter in the dinning room and the food was excellent for the price we had paid. Mostyn street Llandudno is an excellent shopping area,... More

Being regulars at Shearings Hotels in the UK, this was our 5th different visit so can compare as the prices are fantastically good value for money. We stayed for a long 3 night weekend. The weather was amazing and Llandudno is a lovely Welsh resort. The hotel is located away from the centre and there is street parking available. The... More

Dear Welshbookie I'm really sorry to see that you probably won't return to us because reading your review the only negative is that we don't have entertainment on a Sunday evening which is very common throughout the summer months in Bay Hotels. Many thanks for your comments we value your opinion. Kind Regards Andy Travis General Manager More
