The staff gave us a warm welcome.the hotel was very clean everywhere and the food was a very good standard with seven starters six main and sixteen deserts. This was a good place for going to Mount Snowdon and Portmerion. We found this a good place for evening walks after dinner.

Can not really add to the many rave reviews BUT must try! First stayed with my late wife in October 2011 and was "knocked out" with the absolute quality of every aspect. The management could not have been more understanding when a booking for Spring 2012 had to be cancelled. The double deposit was honoured in full when I made...

I took my Mum here for a weekend break. We had a spacious first floor room with a bay window and sea view. The staff were friendly and helped me to sort out wheelchair hire. The hotel caters well for elderly guests (there are lifts to all floors) - the location is perfect with direct access to the promenade and...

We returned to the Merrion in May having had to miss our October visit. Despite distinctly inclement weather we really enjoyed our holiday. This friendly family-run hotel more than compensates for the weather. The staff are always happy and friendly to the guests and their usual high standards were attained. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the friendly happy ladies...

Dear Mike L. Superb review thank you, your great comments regarding some of the new dishes on our menu will be passed on to Gareth in the kitchen, the Welsh Lamb Rump slow cooked is proving very popular as it is lean and very tender. Your comments about other aspects of the hotel and staff are very welcome and will...

A wonderful, welcoming, family run hotel in an excellent location. Came here with a coach party and were delighted with the style and standard of accommodation. The staff could not have been more helpful and, as a vegetarian, I was extremely well catered for. The evening entertainment was perfect for the older members of the group. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to...

Dear Chesterbuddy. Great review thank you very much, the Food Glorious Food themed break in February and March has been extremely popular this year, live cooking demonstrations each evening and on two nights we do a wine tasting instead of the cooking. Your idea about demonstrating dishes for singles is a good idea and we may consider it for 2016....

We have been to Llandudno several times for various reasons, and this time was for a wedding anniversary. We wanted a hotel on the promenade with a sea view room and its own parking facilities, and the Merrion met all these requirements. The twin room we booked was quite adequate, although we could quite clearly hear the guests in the adjoining room...
