Due to previous stays at other guesthouses/hotels when attending gigs at Venue Cymru we weren't expecting much but The Winchmore was far better than expected. Friendly staff, comfortable, clean rooms in good location and a great breakfast. What more do you need! 😎 Nothing bad to say!

The Winchmore hotel is a small hotel on the promenade in Llandudno. The hotel has a car park at the back and does have lifts but you do have to go up and down stairs even if you take the lift due to the design of the building so its a bit tough if you are with an older person which we were. The bar was a bit poorly stocked as well but the best part of this hotel is its staff. They were wonderful and the Gentlemen from Paisley just outside Glasgow was so helpfull he wins my award for best member of staff ever. Nothing was to much trouble for him when he served us breakfast and then when he checked us out. You Sir are an absolute star and made my familys stay at this hotel so enjoyable - I hope you get a nice Christmas bonus as the hotel is lucky to have you.

Stayed for 6 days with elderly patients. Hit and miss on the room quality as mine had a shower door broken (which I fixed) and my parents had a stone cold radiator at the start. They did get an electric plug in one later. The rooms should really be standardised,as my electric radiator was perfect.I would of preferred a bar of soap to the tiny shower gel bottle in the bathroom.Beds, pillows and duvet were comfortable and I had no problems with the covid restrictions in place. Breakfast room was organised and very efficient. I had cereal and a cooked breakfast everyday and loved it. The slim brunette waitress was very friendly and professional,a real asset to the Hotel. Car parking was a problem because there aren't enough spaces. The stone flower box should be removed to allow a car access to a space,it seems not enough thought had gone into the layout. There is one lift and it has access to all floors BUT if you have mobility problems book a room next to the lift (there are three on each floor). There are some steps, three down and three up to get access to the rooms at the back. Overall a nice Hotel with a few minor issues but it has quality and character and the staff are helpful and professional.

We were expecting to stay in a lovely sea front hotel but what we actually got was a room literally in the hotels car park. Take one big step out of the door and you are in the car park. Look out your window for lovely views of cars! Immediately next to our window was a door that the staff used to enter/exit the car park to take their smoke breaks in a wooden shed directly opposite our room! The room itself was well below standard. We had a double and a single bed and both sets of bed lineN were stained and the duvet cover itself on the double bed was ripped. The beds were very uncomfortable, slightest movement during the night and you were rolled into the middle of the bed. The whole room needs updating, one leather chair which was covered in paint. Tea/coffee facilities provided but be careful, the kettle leaks. Hot water runs down the entire kettle when pouring. The bathroom was appalling. We had a disabled bathroom which in itself is absolutely not a problem but when you are left with a disabled seat in the shower that is clearly showing signs of stains, not at all pleasant. Mould dirt and rust in the shower. We actually put a towel on the shower floor to stand on whilst showering it was so bad. (stained towel) Toilet had not been cleaned properly, urine stains behind the seat! It advertises free WIFI - not true - in fact we couldn;t even connect to our own 3g/4g network - probably because we were in the car park and not the actual hotel. The only positive was the breakfast was very good and the waiter was very friendly and spot on with his service! I complained to reception on check out and the girl wrote my complaint down whilst I was in front of her. A couple of days later I contacted expedia (booking agents) to arrange a refund and the hotel told them no refund as a complaint was not made at check out!! I called to find out the name of the girl on reception - 2 weeks later, I am still waiting for the call back! I will never recommend this hotel. AVOID AVOID AVOID

The bathroom is filthy ! I brushed my teeth sat on my bed using a bottle of water !! The bathroom door doesn’t close properly leaving big gaps all the way around. Mould on bath sealant and broken plug and behind the taps on the bath filthy !!!!!! Waiter in the dining room at breakfast is a dream, very polite and nothing too much. Asked for poached eggs this morning but they were raw. It advertises WiFi but it can only be accessed in public areas !! The bed linen was ripped…….. The only thing I have positive to say is Llandudno is A lovely place and the breakfast waiter is lovely.
