I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Ocklynge Manor B and B. Three of us stayed there over the weekend when we were in Eastbourne for a wedding. The house is gorgeous and the rooms are so lovely. We all slept so well and felt very pampered by our generous and kind host Wendy. Booking was incredibly easy... More

We stayed at Ocklynge Manor for two nights over the weekend. As former Eastbourne residents we visit the town quite a lot, and this is the best place we have stayed at. I just have to agree with most of the other reviews. The building and gardens are beautiful, with an interesting (and well explained) history. Wendy is very friendly... More

Sounds like the intro to a fairy tale; well thats just what it is. My wife and I have just had a 'Fairy Tale' five days with the amazing Wendy at the incredible Ocklynge Manor. Just reading the web site details will only give you a hint at the cosseted no, spoilt, time we spent there. The place has an... More

We had an excellent couple of nights in a fantastic house that has a great history. Wendy made us very welcome and was always on hand to give helpful advice on where to go and what to do. Delightful bedroom and a wonderful garden to explore. Homemade bread, preserves and delicious cake - what's not to like?

When it comes to my steak I like my rump; when it comes to sleeping I’m most comfortable on my back; and I’m the kind of guy that like sitting at the back of the bus, so there was little surprise that I found the charm in this bnb at the back of the house. And charm us it did,... More

We were being pampered with delicious homemade food by the most gracious landlady Wendy (sorry David we didn't leave you any cake) in paradisical surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our animated breakfast discussions and spent three cosy and relaxing days at the manor house despite heavy rainfalls and high winds. We will definitely come back since everything has just been perfect.

We had five nights at Ocklynge Manor. We could not have felt more welcome. The property is beautiful and our room was comfortable and quiet. Wendy is the perfect hostess - she even gave me a portion of her precious sourdough starter and I am diligently nurturing it until it and I are ready to bake a loaf. Breakfasts were... More
