The hotel is a bit tatty. The room 306 was not so good. There was still hair around the bath and the tap area was not that clean. The tap area over the bath was coming away at the wall! I complained to the reception staff who offered another room but on checking the other room it wasn't much better.... More

Right on the sea front, good food, friendly and helpful staff. A good dance floor. Our second year here. Highly recommended. We can see the pier from our balcony. The sound of the sea crashing against the pebbles is exhilarating.

The only good thing about this hotel was the seaview. Reception staff very unfriendly and unprofessional. When we got to our room we were very disappointed with the decor. Very antiquated and creaking floorboards. Couldn't open the bathroom door properly because the sink was in the way. The hairdryer was something else. These were about in the 60's. Unfortunately we... Room big, great sea view, beautiful view of band stand. Reception was very organised one girl was very friendly throughout our stay. Night entertainment was a giggle me and Mum won the bingo very laid back atmosphere, really enjoyed it. Great location, 10 min walk into town for shopping. Parking was always easy with £1 permit from reception. No wifi... More

Fraying at the edges and not particularly good value - £90 for a double with breakfast. Creaking floorboards are almost amusing once you get used to them. Clean and tidy with comfortable beds, so no complaints there. The reception could be a lot more welcoming but maybe we arrived at a bad time. Acceptable but would plump for Premier Inn... More

Booked in here at £45 PPPN including breakfast. Hotel itself looks a little rundown was perhaps quite fine at one point, Annoyingly there is signage showing you to an entrance that is blocked off. The entrance is at the side. Car parking - park down the side of the hotel they give you a pass at £1/day - bargain. The... More

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay for The Eastbourne Airshow. Due to a change of fixture dates for our football team, we had to amend our dates twice on separate occasions .Our requests were dealt with without problem and duly confirmed by prompt emails. We found the reception staff polite and professional and very friendly. When we got... More

Stayed Saturday night on weekend of Eastbourne Air Show. Excellent location opposite Bandstand on sea front. Friendly staff but not very professional. We had double room overlooking sea. Bed hard. Floorboards creaky. Curtains not fitting windows so sunlight came in at early hour. Bathroom clean but tiny. Door hit washbasin when opened. Hotel generally needs re-modernisation. Breakfast disgusting. Poached egg... More

On arriving at the hotel on Tuesday with a group of 50 of our dancers, several were disappointed at check in by being told that the rooms they had pre booked and paid for in advance were not available. Four guests had paid for sea view rooms, which they didn't get. One family of three had booked a double room... More
