Gosh what can I say, this hotel/guesthouse is like going back in a timewarp, must have been the same for the last 50 years, in a good way though. It reminded me of holidays when I was a kid in the Isle of Man and Llandudno. Bit of a culture shock at first but once you get used to it... More

My Wife and I have just returned from a 5 day holiday here and found the hotel to be superb. The room was quite large & very clean. The staff were always helpful regarding anything we requested. I must mention the owner Lucky, great sense of humour and especially Danny in the dining room and the bar. He was always... More

We found the fairlands hotel very good value for what we payed. Three meals a day and very clean. entertainment most nights. The owners made our stay most enjoyable and nothing, was to much trouble. The hotel is close to the beach, the band stand and pier are within easy walking distance. There is ample bus and trains to most... More

My mum and friend stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July this year and they said it was the worst hotel they have ever stayed in. The hotel was run down and dirty. The food was awful, my mum said she couldnt eat the food there and just wanted to come home and get straight in the shower.... More

Stayed three nights, just got home first thing I did was to get straight in the shower and scrub myself down! I felt dirty dieing the stay as there was no shower in room just a tiny bath but absolutely no hot water to wash or bathe in. The room was really very dated, and cold rooms. Food was minimal... The food, whilst not abundant was well cooked and presented. Nice choice of food at breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The loud gong the owner rung... More
