I'll list the good features:- Location - a very short walk to the promenade, the seafront and an easy walk to town - all on the flat. Easy, free all-day car parking on the street - courtesy of The Mowbray. Caring, helpful staff - especially Angela and Lavinia. Nothing is too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts with a great variety of... More

The Mowbray is central to the town, beach, theatre and pier yet quiet and peaceful at night. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was outstanding. The little extras were very thoughtful. A smoothie with breakfast. Packs available with the little things you forget - toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and shaving gel etc. There is a bar and when the owners... More

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel/guest house last minute through booking.com to spend a night in Eastbourne and we were not disappointed. The room was fairly small, however the price we were paying was so little it was completely justified, but also very cosy, warm and honestly romantic! The (I want to say owner??) of the place was very... More

The Mowbray was chosen for a family get together/birthday celebration with ages from 22 months to 68 years old. The hotel is in a great location close to the sea, theatres and a few local shops. The rooms were bright, clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the lounge had an honesty bar for drinks... More
