We had just been married in phuket and were very excited to be heading to this stunning picture perfect resort... we were forgotten at the airport, after waiting for about 15 minutes we called the hotel to be advised someone is almost there. We waited for 2.5 hours for someone to arrive..to make it better the staff were rude to us on arrival for not letting them know we were late?! (Please explain how this was our fault?!) Anyway shown to our private pool room- as soon as the guy walked out i hysterically cried.. it was dirty, the doors didn't lock, the pool was green with alge (not swimming safe by any means) the fridge was leaking, the bed sheets weren’t even clean with brown stains right through them. we notified staff Immediately and was told nothing would be done until the following day because we arrived late. Next day i woke hoping that things would be better- hell no it was worse then i realised. Breakfast was disgusting- none of the utensils were clean, tables were covered in plates, staff standing around having a chat. Management came and spoke to us and assured everything would be rectified once we were back. We got back to our room about 6pm- Nothing had changed- back to management on the way to tea- i was advised it had already been fixed.. it was only when i started raising my voice he eventually come and seen for himself nothing had been done. No sorry, no nothing- grunted at me and walked out. At 10pm we just got back and was in bed with thumping on our door- they thought this was an appropriate time to come and rectify the issue. Their attitude was disgusting, the grounds were filthy, staff were rude and this is certainly not even a 3* hotel. We left after 2 nights and went and stayed in town. What an absolute waste of money. Would not wish it upon my worst enemy.

We recently travelled to Thailand as two couples and stayed for 8 nights at Mai Samui Resort. We had pool access rooms that were adjoining...thanks Mai Samui for granting our request. We have no negatives to say about the resort at all. The pool was nice and clean and perfect for swimming at any time of the day. The meals were great, as well as the drinks, especially from the beach bar. Massages from the spa were also great as well. The staff were very friendly, and despite the difference in language, they went out of their way to make our holiday most enjoyable. We would most certainly stay again at Mai Samui Resort.

Beautifully laid out in a tropical setting, with water pools interlacing the facility. A lay back atmosphere where you can unwind, with lots of quiet time. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas, with access to the ocean and restaurants in close proximity.

We So Love This Place!!!! Stayed here early February after a very long journey we arrived late at night to the warmest welcome we have ever recieved at a hotel! Girls were so welcoming we were blown away by the hospitality from the moment we arrived. After booking in ( you do need to leave a 3000 bht deposit on arrival for purchases whilst your there, cash maybe best as will get back on departure what you dont use ) May showed us to our room personally. Wow! The room was huge! Decorated for our arrival with swans fresh flowers and fruit. The bathroom was huge the bath well it was a huge one which you step down into enough space for a family in it at once! Again it was decorated with petals. Theres toiletries to use like shampoo conditioner shower gel, even cotton buds to tooth brush. The bed was huge and very comfortable. A smart tv tea coffee facilites, safe. Mini bar wth refreshments additional cost. Even beach towels and a large beach bag to use also! Came in handy thank you. May kindly gave us a tour of the resort down to the beach bar and to restuarant. We arrived late but they kindly made us something to eat and drink which was no problem at all! The ambience of the hotel is so tranquil and stunning, loved the suttle lighting very calming throughout the resort. There's a spa and gym facilites across the way also another pool and smaller one for children. Book and computor room too. We stayed on the All Inclusive option which we found was the right option as the resort is little out the way, not a disadvantage in the slightest we love the peace and quiet and thats what you get. There is a suttle service into town daily should you wish to go out. They even do a free trip to a waterfall on a sun day should you wish to go. The pool is gorgeous we were lucky enough to be in a swim out room which my husband used regulary. Theres a couple of jacuzzi's in the pool and seating at the bar too. Beach was beautiful small but had plenty of comfortable beds with cushions and pillows built in. Beach bar well Weston aka Kai Kai...... He is just Fabulous!! Very attentive kind always helpful made our holiday! Thank you Kai! Nothing was any trouble always busy making guests comfortable. Guy with broken arm also was great both very hard workers. Towels you get from the beach bar large and clean. Cocktails were amazing ( not the box standard all inc from a machine ) We had lunch every day down the beach bar, all meals are cooked amazinly by Tek and his brilliant cooks/chefs and brought down from the main kitchen. Food was freshly cooked to order and tasted amazing. Had eaten in Fine Dining and The Thai Restaurant Al Carte meal to Thai to Western food... Any special requirements Tek sorted without a problem. Loved our personal greeting every morningTek... Thank you for everything. Mr Dew and Tenau were very friendly and efficient serving in the restaurants and Thank you both. Tik is the manger of the resort and very visable around the place. Very friendly and welcoming to all guests. Had any quieries or issues no matter how small she would sort without a doubt. She arranged for a lovely surprise for my husbands birthday on return of a d ay trip out. At the evening meal no matter who was on duty they all came and wished my husband a happy birthday. All little thigs like this add to what was a special holiday for us Again Thank You All!! Would I recommend this hotel??? YES YES YES! Well worth the three flights from England. So please if you want excellent service peaceful stunning location then dont hestitate BOOK It! Any questions please ask away.
