The hotel location is amazing and the room is great. The pool area is slightly scruffy and not well looked after. I stayed here in sept/oct 2023 with my partner we are in our late 20s. We didn’t expect anything more than the above as we were on a budget and this hotel didn’t purport to be the height of luxury. On this holiday however we had the worst holiday experience of our lives and were treated inhumanely by staff. That description sounds a little much but it’s the best way I can describe it. Staff generally were rude unless of course you were middle aged and looked like you tipped well… again we weren’t overly bothered by this but it wasn’t pleasant. On our first night we went to sleep and being excited had forgotten to buy water from the supermarket. This wasn’t an issue until I woke up at midnight and started to vomit, my partner did the same shortly after. We NEEDED water, I tried the tap water but it tasted like salt/fish. We rang down to the ‘24 hour’ reception to explain and ask for water. To my surprise the male receptionist said NO, not his problem. I eventually convinced him! He brought up two of the smallest glasses of water you could imagine, when I opened the door he did not converse just stared at me whilst frowning and tried to look into the room - he didn’t say anything when I thanked him just walked away - it was very disconcerting. The water didn’t touch the sides and soon enough we were thirsty again. We would have gone down to find our own water but couldn’t be away from the bathroom for more than 30 seconds especially whilst on the move. I wasn’t delighted that I had to call reception again after the first experience but we had no choice. The same man answered and shouted back NO THIS IS NOT MY JOB! I had no idea why he was so angry we were clearly desperate, I begged and begged to no avail! We had lost so much fluid and had no choice but to try the tap water again - bad idea, this just came back up straight away. There was a shop across the road - I just sat up starring at it from my balcony longing it to open. We tried to sleep but couldn’t as we were so thirsty and continued to be ill. At about 4am after not needing the bathroom for 10 mins I decided to go down to reception with a large pint glass we had and beg for water. I needed one trip to the bathroom on the way to reception it was not pretty. I finally got there and begged for water for me and my partner. The tall bald receptionist stood before me. He said no, if you want water I will call a doctor I am not giving it to you. (We did not want a doctor we just wanted water, insurance would have covered a doctor lm sure but we couldn’t afford the upfront cost. All the money we had was for our spends). I convinced him to get me water but he refused to use the large glass instead passing me another tiny singular glass I drank it there and then. He refused to get another for my girlfriend then stared me out as if he wanted to start a fight! To this day I have NO idea what his problem was what he thought we were trying to pull/ where his distain for us came from. I went back upstairs and for the next 4 agonising hours I went from staring at the shop to washing my mouth out with tap water to get some moisture. 8am came and I had a brainwave to go to the gym to see if they had water. I staggered there filled my glass from the fountain! It was like heaven. We did not recover and the holiday was ruined for the remaining 7 days we had no energy and didn’t finish one full meal. We couldn’t afford the holiday but have both been through a lot in the last year so needed a break. Had we not been left with no choice but to drink the tap water perhaps we would have got over this quicker? Really enjoyed my time at the Roc. It is in a lovely setting, with great beaches nearby. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the food, breakfast and dinner. The salads, vegetables and ish particularly. One criticism is that it food labelling could be clearer for non meat eaters. Some of the salads had meat hidden in . Labelling things as vegetarian would be helpful. The room was spacious, but disappointingly I think we had virtually the only room with no sea view at all. We were in the old building faving the road. I would have loved a sea view . The beds were 2 singles pushed together, kept falling down the gap in the middle. When there were faults with the room, the shower and wardrobe door, the maintenance responded very quickly. Best bit being able to get straight into the sea from the hotel, particularly early morning for sunrise swim. …

Well after reading some reviews on here I was apprehensive about the visit to this hotel! So happy we stuck with the booking as it turned out to be absolutely amazing. We booked a double room with sea view and wasn’t disappointed. The hotel is huge with many different levels and chill out areas. Pool area and pools were clean and fresh. The access to the sea really is an impressive feature and swimming from the hotel premises was great. Breakfast each morning had a great selection and catered for everyone from hot breakfast to cereal, fruits, cava, it really did have everything. Yes the hotel isn’t the newest but it had loads of character. There is a picture in reception that shows the hotel in 1954 and you can see where they have extended the hotel over the years. My only comment would be that there are a lot of steps and not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Finally David at the pool snack bar!!!! Friendly and always a positive attitude. Excellent 5 stars. If he runs out of any ingredients for cocktails he will create one of his special magical cocktails…..I had a brilliant champagne mojito ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…

No stay here is complete without visiting the shack by the pool. Here you will find the most charming and welcoming member of staff. Unlike the grumpy omelette man. Nothing is too much for David to make for you. If he runs out of an ingredient, he will come up trumps with another concoction. I had the best frozen margarita I have ever tasted. The guy is worth his weight in gold and is well deserved for a pay rise in my opinion.

Had an absolute lovely stay at the Roc hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Spa is definitely worth a visit. Snack bar is great. All staff were amazing especially David at the pool bar best cocktails in Mallorca. Free bus into portals nous and Palma at 18:45 which is fantastic. 100% worth a visit

We spent 9 days at this hotel. The hotel is a bit of a labyrint but we learned quickly how to move around. The room we had was a bit small and out-dated, but peaceful, with a partial ocean view. Breakfast was excellent, dinner mainly ok. The staff was very friendly and we received a welcome drink upon arrival. Access to the ocean was straight from the hotel, but it doesn't have a sand beach (you'll find two of them nearby though). Many hotel guests reserved sunbeds early in the morning, so you have to be quick if you want a place for yourself! At the pool we received excellent service every day! Shopping possibilities 15 min walk away and a bus to Palma leaves in front of the hotel every 2 minutes! We had a wonderful stay!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel because the location was excellent, it had a 1 bedroom suite that overlooked the Mediterranean with access to go swimming. Because we were staying for a week this was all a must. On arrival our room was double booked so we had to downgrade to another room for 1 day which then turned into 2 days, this was not ideal although our temporary room was still lovely and on a high floor with a beautiful view. The staff members were so nice and very apologetic so we couldn't be upset, they also offered us 2 dinners for the inconvenience which we thought was nice. Once we finally got to our room that we had booked we were even happier. The balcony was the best and we loved tanning in the mornings and hanging out in the evenings. The food was delicious and very good quality throughout the hotel. The guys at the front desk were exceptional and so friendly, we couldn't fault them at all. We especially love David from the Pool Bar. He was so warm and welcoming and has the most beautiful energy which made us feel like we have been friends forever. He really made our stay with his gorgeous big smile and friendly nature, plus he made me the best margarita I have ever had. Thank you very much David! To everyone who books this hotel I hope you get to experience how wonderful he is at the Pool Bar. Overall, we had a beautiful time and even though there were a few hiccups with our booking, the staff made up for it. We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Hotel Roc and had an amazing time. Spectacular views from our room across the bay. We stayed half board and found the choice and quality of food to be excellent. We are already planning our return for next year. Staff were generally very helpful but I wanted to give a particular mention to David (The Mexican) who ran the pool bar, I can honestly say what a gem of a man. We felt like we had known him all our lives, he made our holiday with his friendliness and his kindness. Best Sangria on the island!!! We hope to see David still running the bar when we return next year as he made the whole experience fantastic!!
