Nestled in a coveted location, Savannah Beach Club Hotel & Spa is celebrated for its relaxed, rustic charm and engaging live entertainment. The well-maintained rooms and grounds earn rave reviews for cleanliness, complemented by the hotel's easy beach access and an array of praised amenities like multiple dining options. Guests are greeted by friendly and helpful staff, despite occasional service hiccups.
While the rooms offer comfort and space, some suggest a modern touch could enhance the experience. The value proposition receives mixed feedback due to the variable food quality and perceptions of overpriced services.

Nice hotel with a nice sandy beach, built around a nice central area with a “lazy river” pool and another pool next to the beachside bar. Our decent sized poolside room was furnished in quite an old-fashioned style, and was the nicer for that – a bit of character. The two double beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was old fashioned but perfectly adequate. Good sized shower and the aircon was very effective. Direct access to the lazy river was great.
We felt a real plus point was the staff, without exception they were consistently cheerful, friendly and helpful throughout. Our room cleaner would enquire every morning if we wanted fresh towels and the room serviced (we didn’t every day) but she happily would return later when we had changed and showered. The beach boys were always up for a laugh and would willingly move beds into the shade for us. We had a problem with one of my wife’s shoes and enquired about some superglue and the maintenance manager insisted on getting one of his team to do the job for us! Clearly we had a different experience to some reviewers.
There are three restaurants but only one is open daily, all breakfasts are in the main restaurant. The main restaurant had a nice a la carte menu on a couple of days, but most dinners and all lunches were buffets in the beachside bar/restaurant. The food started off very good early in the week, but the menu became a bit repetitive later on, but the food quality was generally ok throughout. We were fortunate enough to have an all-inclusive stay with drinks included (an armband is worn) and there seemed to be no restrictions on what you could have at any time.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the historic Garrison and the racecourse across the road. There are good walks both ways along the beach from the hotel and the town centre is about 40 minutes walk, but, frankly, not really worth it. Overall, we had a great relaxing time in the hotel and recommend it. I would have given five stars but for the repetitive buffets.

Having just spent 10 nights at at the Savannah Beach Club, I can honestly say it's been my best holiday! From checking in with Theresa at reception and getting to know the amazing, waiting and bar staff, it was the best time. Our room was well appointed with plenty of storage, a massive comfy bed and A/C and a ceiling fan, which was required as it was so hot. The bathroom was a bit tired, but this never affected our stay. Due to low number of guests the restaurants were working on a rotation and you had to check where the meals were being served each day, appart from breakfast which was always in Rachels. Our first meal was in Chopstix and Chef Ronald ensured that any food prepared for my wife and daughter were not contaminated with shellfish. In fact he was heard reminding other guests to use the serving tongs and spoons for the food they were allocated due to this and had any tongs and spoons replaced, when this had happened. The food was excellent and varied, throughout our stay and moved from set menus to buffet style as more guests arrived at the hotel, apart from Chopstix, which always has an a la cart menu. The hotel itself is well laid out with most of the ammenities toward the upper end of the complex, like the restaurants, Rachel's and Chopstix and a bar lounge at Rachels. The fitness studio is next to and below Chopstix, but this was closed during the refurbishment works. Then the games room was on the ground floor along with a few confrence rooms. There was a long lazy river style pool, which runs the from the courtyard, through the garden, down to the pool at Drifters. This pool as bench style seating along one side so you can just sit and chill. The pool at Drifters has a couple of dozen loungers, but most importantly a swim up bar. This is where we spent most of our afternoons after a morning on the beach or out exploring. There was a good range of cocktails and if you know a cocktail and they have the ingredients the staff will make you what you want. Drifters, was where most of the lunches were served until it was damaged by the tropical storm on the Monday 2nd Oct, but the maintenance team and staff did an amazing job getting everything fixed within a couple of days! The beach is beautiful with fine powder sand, with plenty of loungers and some of the bar staff will bring drinks out to you. Although access for swimming was tricky and I walked along Drill Hall Beach, toward the Hilton, as it was less rocky to swim. The hotel is a great location and we went across the road to George Washington's house at the Garrison and along to Pebble beach to see the horses. Finally the best thing about the Savannah Beach Club are the staff, from Theresa and Akeem in reception, who were always jovial and helpful. As well as booking us taxis and the Tiami catamaran trip, which I'd recommend to anybody, to arranging our pick when we were leaving. Kenny, who was always chatty and the bar and waiting staff, with special mentions to Rodger, Richard, Akela and Tiffany, but espcially to Annalis and my man Shem, who were a hoot and kept us laughing when they were on shift.

We flew from the UK and stayed at Savannah 20/12/24 to 29/12/24 having never been abroad at Xmas before.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, it was clean and decorated festively with alot of effort made by all the staff with the kids over Xmas, there was a visit from Santa and Elf, daily festive music entertainment including a local army cadets group, fireeater, limbo, stilt walker, Miss Sally Caribbean dancing, a steel drum and recorder group doing xmas carols, saxophonist plus solo singers too.
The food was great, lots of meat, fish, salads, puddings.
The staff are amazing, names to highlight Ramon, Beverley and her team of service staff, Roger, Ramal, Tiffany, Chad (chef), Miguel, Nikita, Ariana, The x3 ladies who run the daily kids club were fantastic with my daughter who has a learning disability, she loved going and they provided lots of fun!
I would recommend taking beach shoes/rock shoes for Savannah's beach as it is rocky when wading out. However there are other non rocky beaches within walking distance through the shaded trees towards Hilton Hotel and next door at Sugar Bay. The sea was lovely and warm.
We would recommend this hotel and hope to return another year. Thanks Savannah! Amelia, Esme and family x

Barbados is full over overpriced luxury hotels in difficult to reach locations (meaning: you have to hire a car) sitting on stunning beaches and offering top notch food. The Savannah Beach Club, on the other hand, is reasonably priced, easy to reach, sits on a reasonable beach and offers good buffet / a la carte included. I found it perfect for my needs, but it’s certainly not at the ‘top end’ of what the island has to offer.
My room was great - generous size overall with large bed, large shower, fridge and private terrace. WiFi and room safe good. Buffet breakfast and lunch both good, waitress service three course supper with included drinks (e.g. beer or basic level wines) same. Lunch and supper both included some unexpectedly downmarket ‘entertainment’ I could have done without (win a bottle of rum, take part in karaoke over your meal …). On the plus side: outsiders are allowed to eat here so if you have friends staying elsewhere on the island they can join you here (unlike Sandals along the road where my friends were staying). Quite a lot of stairs to negotiate - fine unless you can’t (so if you have trouble with stairs, go elsewhere).
Located within walking distance of Bridgetown (just), almost next to George Washington House. The hotel beach is OK (as is the pool) but if you want a perfect stretch of sand hire a car or take a taxi or a bus somewhere up the west coast. There’s plenty available with public access.
No late checkout in general but if your plane leaves late they’ll let you use a room for half an hour to shower and change later in the afternoon before leaving.
Overall I can recommend.

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and have previously stayed there a few times about 15 yrs ago. This visit was the worst. The wrong room was booked and then we had to pay extra for the right room which had 2 beds. The room we had was a walk down pool access one, it was just updated we were informed. It was clean and light I thought it looked good just a few things lacked detail. There was no soap holders in the shower and the front door had a large gap because it was poorly fitted. One day we cldnt shut the door because the chain had blocked it shutting. I must say that the maintenance staff fixed things very promptly. The rooms were serviced daily but only the towels were changed, the rooms were not always swept or sheets changed. They were dirty. We had all incl but had to book for dinner each night and never got into one restaurant Chopstix, due to it always being booked. It can only have 30 people. So we had either the al a carte or buffet..these were both dismal and had the same food every day. The chef was a novice who cldnt cook or had no idea about taste or how to treat paying guests. There was also a lack of choice at breafast buffet. One day there was cabbage and mushrooms for breakfast...On the last few days there was no water. The staff kept on saying it was back on but no one bothered to update us or even give us water. We were left to get water ourselves from the pool to flush the toilets. It was becoming very unhygenic due to all the toilets having no water. Ot was off for 3 days. Management did not seem to care much and was no where to be seen. No compensation was offered as we were told its above their paygrade. It was a truly disgraceful state of affairs and we have vowed to never stay or recommend it. The staff need to learn proper hospitality skills to treat guests who have paid alot to stay there with some kind of care and dignity. The only thing i can say i enjoyed was the entertainment. Shame the rest spoilt my holiday.

Spent 2weeks at the hotel and the hotel has not changed very much from 8 years ago. The breakfast was great but lunch and dinner average .The beach is kept clean by the beach staff and plenty of beech towels provided/ for going in sea you will need something on your feet as rocky/ there are plenty of other beaches within walking distance or get the yellow bus to Holetown and get sunbed +umbrella approx. 30BBD for the day great bar/restaurant on beech When booking room recommend the pool view rooms as the courtyard rooms are too near kitchen odours for me Overal the staff were great and made my stay fab - The hotel is in need of a proper refurb - it is dropping into 3:4 star instead of 4.star

Just returned home yesterday from 1 week stay here
Firstly, all the positives
Staff - never had any issues. Everyone we interacted with was happy and smiling, and service was good all round. Very good welcome from the reception staff on day of arrival.
Hotel Grounds - very nice environment and picturesque
Rooms - Kept very clean and serviced every day with no issues. We were given Room 171 which was a deluxe sea view room, which was perfect location wise for access to the pool, beach, and bar with an actual sea view.
Negatives Food - if you like variety, then this is not the hotel to stay at. Breakfast lunch and dinner were the same every day unless you got into Rachel's for restaurant dining. Food was much better, but the menu is limited. Also, the restaurant dining is not open all the time. Rachel's was open twice all week, and we were lucky enough to get in once during our time here. Chopsticks restaurant was never open, so your options and chance of actually getting a place for restaurant dining are very, very limited. If they opened them up together, people would have more variety and increase the chance of securing a table. You have to reserve your evening dining time when you go to breakfast, you can not turn up without a booking which is strange for All Inclusive that we have experienced before. We had to venture out a few nights to local street eats just to get some variety and flavour. I would recommend Jakes which 5 mins walk down the road.
This is not your typical All inclusive, In fact, everything goes dead around 11pm, last orders at the bar is 11:30pm and it does not open at all some evenings.
Entetertaiment - very poor, and most nights had nothing on.
Room location - was perfect other than the ground workers stored their equipment next to our room and 6am every morning we were woken by loud conversations and movement. Not the end of the world, but they could work on the customer experience a little more in this area.
Beach - if you like to swim in the sea, then forget it. It's covered in stones, rocks and broken coral. We had to go further up to Pebbles Beach on Carlisle Bay to enjoy a good swim.
Overall happy with the hotel itself but would not use it for all inclusive again.

We stayed at the Savannah for a week in August. Having visited other Caribbean islands at this time of year before, we were interested to see how the hospitality, climate and island would compare, and we were not disappointed. Whilst not high season, the weather was great, a couple of mornings were slightly overcast although it soon cleared and we had a couple of brief showers but other than that the temperature was around the low to mid 30’s with humidity making it feel around 40.
On arrival we were met by the bellboy, who offered us a run or fruit punch, whilst we were checking in, and then whilst leading us to our room, gave us a brief lowdown of the hotel.
The hotel itself isn’t large, but this gave it a very friendly feel. The staff were always willing to help and would engage in conversation or greet you when they walked past you.
Our room was a double double with direct pool access, which meant we had to walk about 2 paces off our patio and you were in the lazy river that meandered around. The room itself was well appointed, clean and was very well tended to by housekeeping. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. We knew this before arriving, so it wasn’t an issue but it would have been nice if the room could have had 1 double and twins, rather than second double, as some children may be would a little more comfortable with that, that said it wasn’t an issue for us ( boy and girl aged 13 & 16)
The hotel has 3 restaurants, we ate at all and enjoyed the food in all. Breakfast are served in Rachael’s, and are a buffet, with fresh fruit, cereals, omelettes, pancakes, cheeses and cooked options all available . The beach restaurant, Drifters, hosted lunch most days, and is a buffet. The evening meal needs booking, and this is done at breakfast or via reception. Chopstix ( noodle restaurant) is open twice a week and Rachel’s is also open twice a week for an a la carte meal and I was also open for a Caribbean night as well.
Occasionally there was entertainment with the meal in the form of singers, music and we also had limbo dancing and fire eating at Driftrs one evening.
Afternoon tea was available if you wished to participate and drinks/cocktails were always available from either Drifters bar or the pool swim up bar.
There is a room with pool tables, table tennis, darts etc which kept our kids happy for a while.
We booked one excursion which was arranged for us by the on-site team.
Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, and we had. a great time, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

On the 26th November 2023, my husband and I did a Cruise and stay in Barbados which we booked with Iglu Cruises last year. The first week on the cruise ship( Marella Voyager) was everything we had expected and more! Pure luxury with incredible staff and Al a carte food for each meal. For our second week , we were transferred to the Savannah Beach Club hotel and Spa. My heart sank when we pulled up outside the hotel. Absolutely no kerb appeal. Inside the small reception area it was mayhem to book in as most people's rooms weren't ready( at 3pm in the afternoon) our room was- but when we got to the room my heart sank again! The bathroom window had black mould around it, the tiles had been poorly grouted and there was dirt on some of the grouting. There was no toilet roll holder and no toilet brush to clean the toilet. The light in the toilet are didn't work and the shower was like something out of the 1930s. The room was in need of a serious upgrade( they told us that it had been refurbished!!. A team of six people came to inspect the room and the head of the team said she agreed with us that it was not cleaned and finished to a high enough standard ( something the hotel is now denying now we've left the country)! They've even tried to say that the photos I took of the room conditions, were not taken in that room???? Some of the staff were amazingly professional and caring but unfortunately some of the managers were blatantly rude- something I pointed out to Beverly in particular! The Spa was, we were told, was currently closed. We found out from a member of staff that it had been closed for 2 years!! The restaurants,( there were 3 on the site) were never open together on any one day and only 2 of those served al a carte food. All in all, this was not the end to a 2 week holiday we were expecting or deserved considering we paid £6,000 for the 2 week vacation. We couldn't fault the cruise( I wish now we'd done 2 weeks on the cruise) but I would strongly advise anyone wanting to book this "4*" hotel, to avoid it like the plague. We'd been looking forward to this holiday for a year- I spent the last week of our holiday in floods of tears and wanting to fly back home as soon as possible

We’ve now been home nearly two weeks & our review is certainly overdue ! This was our 3rd visit to SBC we arrived early (having emailed a few days before to let them know) The room wasn’t ready and still wasn’t ready at the time to check in. No welcome drink & no drink at the bar as we’d no A/I wrist bands on When the room was eventually ready, the situation of the room was certainly not to our taste, & disappointing as we were returning visitors. However we have to say that when the General Manager Rodcliffe came on duty this was sorted out, and along with the executive chef Rodney, they moved us another room which we were very pleased with , thank you The rooms are very big, with the most comfy huge beds. Plenty of hanging & storage for your clothes; since we were last there, the en-suites have been updated From shower over the bath to walk-in shower, towels changed daily & bed linen changed regularly too We had a lovely two weeks relaxing here - the hotel, although not grand or posh, is situated right on the beach. There is shade if you need it, there are plenty of sunbeds no matter what time of day you want to sunbathe. There’s iced water on tap & beach towels galore right next to the beach Food was a little ‘samey’ but you’ve not had to buy it & cook it so it’s fine. There were a couple of issues with supplies, but they were addressed straight away
The staff are lovely .. too many to mention really … but here goes Rodney - executive chef Always chatty & enjoys a bit of banter Beverley - front of house ….lovely lady - so good to be greeted by her Alicia - waitress …lovely lady …had such fun with her Quinnell - waitress ….quiet & efficient ….knew exactly what drinks we wanted Akeila - waitress - so lovely Tiffany - bar ….very efficient Lamar - bar …ditto Ashley - omelette girl … so sweet & knew what I wanted as soon as I walked in Shaneece - very pleasant & efficient To name but a few We found if you were pleasant and had some fun with the staff they reciprocated. It doesn’t take much to enquire how they are, if they’ve enjoyed their day off etc.
Thank you Rodcliffe & team … I didnt want to leave
would we go back for a 4th visit ? Yes …. Already booked to go January 2026
