Nestled in a coveted location, Savannah Beach Club Hotel & Spa is celebrated for its relaxed, rustic charm and engaging live entertainment. The well-maintained rooms and grounds earn rave reviews for cleanliness, complemented by the hotel's easy beach access and an array of praised amenities like multiple dining options. Guests are greeted by friendly and helpful staff, despite occasional service hiccups. While the rooms offer comfort and space, some suggest a modern touch could enhance the experience. The value proposition receives mixed feedback due to the variable food quality and perceptions of overpriced services.

We recently stayed at the Savannah Beach Hotel as a couple for the 13th time over the Christmas period for 2 weeks. From the moment we arrived at the hotel till the minute we left we had an amazing time.

Check In after a long flight was swift as always and many thanks to Danielle who professionally heads the front desk and who organised and assisted with many aspects of our holiday.

Our chosen pool view room was spacious, light and airy and with a large balcony overlooking the pool with a glimpse of the sea. Rooms are serviced daily to a very high standard with everything you require for a comfortable stay. Very efficient and quiet aircon, safe, hairdryers, iron and board and a very large and comfortable bed.

As all my previous reviews and in our opinion the 3 restaurants offer an extremely high standard of food.. Rachel’s A la Carte has an excellent, very tasty and well presented menu option. Drifters Restaurant overlooks the beach and ocean providing buffet/BBQ with a more casual atmosphere and dress code. Chopstix the Asion Fusion Restaurant provides Asian fare in a beautiful setting overlooking the atmospheric Courtyard and pool. Drinks/water at mealtimes is constanty replenished by very professional, attentive yet very friendly waiters and waitresses. Bar staff work tirelessly throughout the day and evening conjuring up a very good selection of tasty cocktails or whatever your favourite tipple.

In our opinion, all the staff at Savannah Beach without exception are very hard working, extremely friendly and helpful in every way, a real credit to the hotel. Thankyou again to all the lovely staff who are working in very high temperatures and humidity levels yet providing an excellent level of service with genuine smiles and hospitality.
We must also mention Christmas Day Gala evening Dinner at Rachels which was excecuted to a very high standard. A truly delicious meal and experience. At the end of the evening General Manager Tricia gave a tribute to the Chefs, waiters, waitresses and all staff who were greeted in the restaurant to an enormous and rapturous round of applause from all gratefull and happy guests.

Again thank you to all Managers and all staff for their friendship and assistance at Savannah Beach Hotel and we hope to see you all again for visit no14 in 2020.

Arriving on Monday at Savannah we were taken back in time to a real Colonial property,. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff and a Rum Punch just to get us in the mood for our HWH ( Holiday, Wedding, Honeymoon ). We had requested a Deluxe Beachfront King Club Room, our rooms was ground floor looking across a well kept lawn to the beach and sea. Club gave us that little bit extra in the room and around the Hotel including the vip sun deck which had waitress service and a help yourself bar for snacks and drinks. We met our Wedding Co-ordinator on Tuesday, Danielle, who bent over backwards to help us have the most beautiful day, spent the next couple of days preparing and soaking up the sun, sea and atmosphere of Savannah. Our visit to the Home Affairs Office went smoothly although did take some time to process our registration, well worth the wait. Everything we asked for our wedding was done, even down to uprooting the wedding arch from one end of the beach and moving it to the other end, to get the perfect picture, after all its not every day you get married in Barbados, well done guys and gals. We were married on Friday on the hottest day of the week so far, water was needed in abundance, the service was perfect and Champagne was enjoyed under the shade of the palm trees, our reception was held in Rachel’s for family and friends. Thank you to Danielle, Kimeishal, Petural, Heather and Edwin, to mention a few for all the hard work put in to make it so enjoyable.

Just say hello and smile. Barbadians are so very friendly and always willing to chat.
This hotel has the best staff I have ever come across. So inviting, warm, friendly and amusing. Loved them all. Including the guys constantly cleaning up and tending the gardens etc. This hotel, in the main is run by women. Fantastic job ladies.
Car hire from Virgin Rep was first class. Get someone to put "Waze" app on your mobile for sat-nav. Driving around the Island is easy for us Brits. No Road Rage here that we saw, they generally make allowance for us. Some lovely places to see, St Johns Church, Bathsheba etc. Packed lunch was massive!. Very tasty. Don't be afraid to use yellow, blue or white buses B$3.50 per trip regardless of distance; quite safe. Reggae buses can be a bit alarming, they drive fast, but hey, "when in Rome". 'Were very glad of them on more than one occasion. Bridgetown is walk-able, if you can take the heat. Try walking slowly along Carlisle Bay beach. The boardwalk towards the Gap is a nice place to stroll. But too far to walk all the way to St Lawrence. The sea is gorgeous and warm but best to wear beach shoes directly outside hotel - beware sea urchins and sharp coral. Carlisle Bay is a lovely place to swim. You must try Chop Stiks, the food was prepared right in front of you. Delicious. Rachels is very pleasant, but food Drifters was great too. Spoiled for choice, try them all. Loved sitting in Drifters in the evening, so relaxing and well looked after. Mossies can be a nuisance, they love some people but stay away from others??? Wear plenty of repellent. Can't wait to return next year, loved everything about this hotel and it's people.

We travelled here with a three year old and a three month old and it was our first trip to Barbados.
From the second we arrived to the second we left we had the most amazing experiences.
The hotel is clean and the staff will do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable.
We were welcomed with a nice rum punch and check in was quick and seamless.
We were taken down to our room which was by the pool. It was beautiful, clean and big enough for us all.
The food is outstanding, there is something for everyone and the team specifically catered to my fussy three year old. As I said, they will do anything to help make your stay easier.
The evening entertainment is lovely, such a nice vibe and very relaxing.
Drifters is the beach restaurant and seems to be the hub. It’s very nice.
Rachel’s is a pre booked place for dinner and it’s an absolute must. The food is incredible and the service is 100%.
We didn’t get a chance to go to Chopstix because it is an adults only restaurant but that didn’t bother us.
The drinks and cocktails are brilliant and the bar at drifters opens at ten, you can get self serve coffee and water before then though.
Special mention goes to the beautiful, amazing Tiffany who my daughter adored. She is a lovely person and a brilliant bar tender.
Richard has an amazing knowledge of the island and all the things to do. He also makes a fantastic hurricane cocktail. Mark is a lovely guy too and has such a good attention to detail.
Tyrone is again, such a brilliant bartender who remembered our drinks every time.
Selwyn was our waiter most nights at Drifters and has such a fantastic sense of humour. He really looked after our daughter.
Our cleaner Joanne always left our room spotless which i know couldn’t have been an easy task with the children. She would even arrange the children’s toys on the bed, much to their delight.
The grounds men work so, so hard and I’m just sorry I didn’t get their names but they always stopped to chat. One in particular we would speak to about his children and he always had a smile.
All the management team are brilliant and will absolutely go above and beyond to make your stay amazing.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior as you pull up for the first time. The actual property is beautiful once you get past that.
I have to say that without a doubt it’s the best holiday we have had, made better by the staff and we will definitely be back.

We’ve just returned from an amazing weeks stay at the Savannah Beach hotel. After reading some of the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect but I needn’t have worried as we loved it.

It’s not a big faceless glitzy American hotel so if that’s what you are looking for, it may not be for you. But it had a rustic charm, warmth, amazing staff and service. We had a double double pool access room, which was large, looked over the Lazy river pool
and the sea. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

We had opted for the V Club option which was well worth the extra for the club deck padded loungers and the service on the deck was amazing.

We tried all the restaurants and really enjoyed Chopstix and Rachel’s where the food was a la carte and was excellent quality. Neither of us are really buffet fans but it was ok and we found the night time had a better selection than lunchtime. Breakfast was great and had a good selection. At the weekends they did crepes which I would recommend.

The location was good and not far too walk to the board walk and down in to Hastings. We also walked to pebble beach for sunrise to see the racehorses swimming in the sea which was well worth the early start to watch. The hotel offered complementary transport to Cocobana beach club and also one night into St Lawrence Gap which we did. There were plenty of buses that stopped right outside the hotel to Bridgetown or down along the South Coast.

The beach the hotel went onto was pretty and tree lined. As many reviews said there was quite a bit of coral but if you walk 2 minutes either way it was fine for swimming and we were happy with that.

The service and staff at the hotel are one of its biggest assets and were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The only thing to be aware of if mobility is an issue is there are steps around which were fine for us.

I would definitely stay at the Savannah again and hope to return later in the year.

Were provided with a day room here by a cruise line for the time between disembarkation and a late-evening flight home. The property appeared clean, tidy and well maintained and had a welcoming fell. Staff throughout were excellent - friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quite adequate, although we had to negotiate a lot of steps to get to and from it. As my wife finds negotiating stairs rather difficult that was not ideal and means we would never select this hotel if we were travelling independently. There is an elevator but that involves a circuitous walk round the property to get to and from reception. The beach was OK although it did strike us as a bit messy. The reef in front of the hotel prevents anything more than paddling and a sign recommends wearing shoes to avoid getting cut by the coral. On the day we were there the sea was quite rough. The club area offers parasols but that is reserved for hotel residents. However plenty of palm trees elsewhere enabled us to secure a place in the shade, although the sun beds were quite close together. Conclusion: it suited us for a day but we felt it could feel rather confining if there for a week or more.

This hotel is lovely! The Deluxe King Room (416) was comfortable, fully equipped and with a balcony overlooking the pool and with a side view to the beach and ocean.

The staff are charming and very helpful. I was very grateful for the help and concern they showed me when I had to have emergency dental treatment (thank you Chantelle and the reception staff). The staff in the restaurants are professional, attentive, polite and very friendly. The food is good and caters for a wide range of tastes. We were all inclusive, which I would recommend because the price on the menus seems quite expensive.

The grounds and pools are beautiful. Lots of flowers, monkeys and exotic birds can be seen. Michael and his colleagues keep the grounds in an immaculate condition. The sandy beach is well maintained and there are sufficient sunbeds for quite a full hotel at the time of writing.

The hotel is directly onto the beach but there are some rocks which make it a bit difficult to swim. However, right to the left of the beach is another bay (Sugar Bay) where good sea swimming is possible. The water is clear and warm with a sandy bottom.

My husband and I loved this place from the minute we arrived. Thank you so much to all at Savannah Beach Club. We will be back again!

Having been twice before to this hotel we were really looking forward to our first holiday in over two years. We were so disappointed as new ownership and many things had changed. Our favourite restaurant Rachel’s used to be open at least 6 nights a week and we loved it, now only open 3 nights, food was still good. All the staff we had met before had gone except one Kimiesha who recognised us, she is a lovely lady and a credit to the hotel, we met some other lovely staff Cherice Beverley and Sheena also Tiffany to mention a few. Donna on reception was extremely helpful with anything we asked, and sorted our transfer when we couldn’t. Our one big problem was room cleaning, we were informed on arrival it would be only every 3 days, if only, we had our room done and bed changed twice in fourteen nights, and one of those was when we stripped the bed and went to find the cleaning lady to obtain clean bed linen. To be fair she was extremely busy so it must be a staffing problem. But when you pay nearly 6000 pounds for a holiday you do expect a certain level of service. One day someone turned up at 5.40 to do the room when we were getting ready to go out for the evening ! The food at drifters was repetitive and not always very warm, so I had a lot of egg & cheese salads. Hopefully the new owners can rectify these problems as the location is fabulous, but we will not return unless things improve. There was a shop on site but it was never open, told at reception they were still moving in, but still advertising shop on site.

We booked at short notice and savannah was the obvious choice as they had a room suitable for three adults and were significantly more affordable than other hotels. So glad I didn’t go with another hotel.
The room, grounds, location, the food, the service and atmosphere all matched or exceeded my expectations.
A special note of thanks to manager Edwin and the maintenance team who had the A/C fixed very promptly, and Heather the virgin rep who was very helpful. However, all staff were welcoming and clearly work hard to keep everything running smoothly.

The sea directly opposite the beach isn’t the best for swimming but you can literally walk less than a minute in either direction and have a swim. Its a stunning stretch of coastline - great for morning / evening walks.

We visited Barbados over five times and this hotel has given us best experience todate. The Suvannah is a smallish hotel, around 80 to 90 rooms on the beach just outside Bridgetown and 20 minute taxi journey from the airport. The hotel has three restaurants, Rachel's bar and table service restaurant, Chopstix table service restaurant and Drifters bar a buffet service. The complex is well run, clean and tidy as are the rooms. We found all the staff very helpful, friendly and always went the extra mile. We enjoyed our experience so much we will be planning a return trip later this year! Thank you to all the staff at the Savvanah 👍❤
