Great location, right opposite the promenade with plenty of restaurants nearby. Pay & display car park opposite and if you're very lucky, you can get a parking spot right outside the hotel. Our bedroom was comfortable and faced the front so seaviews but noise from...More
This is a wonderful hotel with pleasant welcoming staff. From the greeting to the service is perfect. They went above and beyond my expectations. Not sure if this interests you but a lady who dyes her hair wouldn’t want to leave any lasting marks on...More
Booked this hotel the day before arrival and I have not been disappointed. Stayed with my dog in room 37, top floor.
The room had a comfy double bed and shower room with plenty of space, and a big window to let lots of light...More
We have stayed here several times for long weekends and have always really enjoyed our stay. We particularly liked the upper room - very spacious with large bathroom and great view. Millie (our Pomeranian) also likes it here as she gets lots of compliments and...More
Booked this hotel as a base for a walking holiday (short break). The hotel is not modern, but spotlessly clean. The breakfast was absolutely delicious - well presented, freshly cooked and plenty of it. There was a good choice of fruit and cereals as well....More

Mumbles Carlton needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it to a good standard. It appears tired and run down like the people running it. There is NO soundproofing between the rooms and the extractor fans in all the bathrooms can be heard loudly (in some cases all night) from other rooms.
Our bed was most uncomfortable as the mattress should have been replaced years ago. There is NO choice of food at breakfast. Your friends would not be impressed. Seeing the previous comment, if this hotel has been refurbished then I am astounded!
I would recommend changing venues. Unfortunately, I have only stayed near Mumbles once so cannot offer an alternative there.
we were on the top floor, overlooking the road (and the Bay) and had no problem with noise from the road. As others have said, the staff are very helpful and will solve any of your problems - ask for Sarah.
