2nd time that we have stayed here. Nothing was too much trouble. Cleaning staff are efficient and friendly, apartment has been kept spotless. The owner made sure that everything was OK on our arrival. Pool towels a plus, as was the use of a washing machine. They sorted our airport transfers and hire car while we were here. Bread is delivered fresh every day. Bbq provided, private garden and patio for each apartment

We stayed for six nights and found everything we needed for self catering. Big comfy bed, good shower and a proper cooker with oven. Great for the fish they sell on The beach. Washing machine and iron a bonus. The pool we used was lovely and cleaned often. We really enjoyed sitting on our private veranda looking at the birds with a glass of wine. Baguette man each morning is a great touch. It was handy for beach and supermarket in Pereybere - 5 minute walk. Good access for whole north of Mauritius. Thank you

Very nice well thought out gardens with 2 swimming pools, all appliances needed for a self Catering stay. However... had some of the worst nights sleeps we've ever had here, due to the incredibly noisey aircon system and 2 cheap single beds pushed together with very uncomfortable mattresses on them. The bathroom gets incredibly hot! and there is lots of cracks around apartment where tons of ants make thier way in. The owners were very friendly and the cleaners were very friendly however they do wake you up at 10am every morning (not something you need after having some of the worst night sleeps). We would not recommend staying due to these reasons.

We had booked a 1 bedroom and were upgraded to a 2 bedroom. Host Jean Francois went out of his way to welcome and settle us in. Bird life and gardens truly lovely with two swimming pools really nice. A baguette delivered to us every day which we shared with the birds. Neatly decorated bungalow, fully equipped, serviced everyday by lovely people: Cleevie, Aurelie, Christian very obliging should you want bottled water. Off he went on his scooter and within 10 mins would be back and of course Vivian the friendly caretaker always on hand to help with whatever. Beach is a fair walk away but who can complain when you are getting in a bit of cardio on a holiday without having to go to the gym Very nice friendly 'crew.'

The location is a little further from the beach than we expected but not so far as you need a car. That said it meant we got a bit of exercise going into town so the restaurants could be sampled with less guilt. We stayed in Hybiscus which is a single bedroom bungalow with a lounge and kitchen. All the appliances were of good quality and reasonably new. The bed was a super king size so no catching each other’s sunburn. The shower was a power shower with a rain head and handheld. The towels were changed when we wanted and were of a good size. They supply hand towels, flannels, and pool towels. The maids are cheerful, chatty, and appear to enjoy their work which they do thoroughly each day. They will do your laundry but we were happy to use the washing machine and hang our clothes on the dryer then iron it ourselves. Everything supplied. Outside the patio had 4 chairs a table and a barbecue with access to one of the two pools which had loungers around it. The pool was cleaned twice a day. To sum up Gardens Retreat is a clean, well maintained, facility run by friendly helpful staff who make it their goal to please. We would recommend to anyone. We will return.
