Firstly the plus points - the rooms & public areas were clean, the staff friendly, and my rate included breakfast, where there was buffet options including cereals, fruits, ham & cheese, a limited hot buffet, which provided an excellent start to the day. If you are travelling to take part in parkrun it is an excellent venue, only 800m from the start. The wi-fi is excellent. Negatives - the hotel is tired & needs a major refurbishment. The hotel has no bar, with nowhere to eat at night and therefore lacks any kind of atmosphere without any form of focal point. If you do not have a vehicle, the town centre is a 10 minute walk, then a 10 minute bus ride away. Without the option of eating in the hotel at night and nowhere else in the vicinity to eat, I had to travel by bus every night for something to eat. Whilst the inside of my room was clean, it was very dated and the windows were dirty on the outside, with a coffee/tea stain on the carpet. My mattress was very soft, which may suit some travellers, but not me. Outside there were some old drinks fridges dumped outside the entrance in the car park & the exterior of the hotel needs a facelift. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, although these are available in the breakfast area 24/7. I understand the hotel is due to be demolished, and a block of flats built in its place later this year. Best wishes to all the staff for the future as they were all polite & welcoming without exception. I am sorry the owners of the hotel have felt it necessary to close and it has not been viable to refurbish a hotel that has been there for many years. In short, if you have a vehicle and are only staying a night or two, then it provides value (compared to the prices in the centre), but if you are staying any longer. I would pay more to be in the town centre and somewhere that is a little more modern. Only an overall 2 based on the location, atmosphere & the lack of care & attention into the building & rooms over a long period of time. Sorry!

The hotel is located just nearly to city centre but you need to go by Buss or car to get there, just a short 5 minute walk there’s a buss stop. the hotel is only serving breakfast which is ok and just what you need in the morning - its no fashionable hotel, it’s just great because is in a quiet area - short drive to main road. Friendly staff and helpful. Only thing which is fascinating- They have to turn on the heat on each room in the reception! Which they forgot for my room as arriving late I just went to sleep in a cold room an thought it wold be warm in the morning, but nope. I could have asked the evening at arrival but was simply to tired. But it’s healthy to sleep cold. Asked to get the heat on and it was warm next day. I recommend to stay here if you need a place with easy access to Stavanger area.

Shabbier than we remembered. Nice enough staff, but looks like the place has lost its soul. Simple room, ice-cold bathroom (and shower!), run down back porch and pool area, and ok breakfast. We picked the place to celebrate my son's birthday, as he wanted to stay at a hotel with a pool, but now the pool is closing permanently. Better bet to stay somewhere downtown.

We were there with 15 young handballplayers for one night during a handball gathering. The staff were both friendly and helpful; the chef was pleasent and made good food (breakfast was more than expected). The hotel itself has seen better days; and the rooms are quite loud, as you can hear pretty much anything that goes on in the hallway and/or the neighboring rooms.

Dear guest. Thank you for your review and thank you for your kind words about the staff. We really appreciate it. We do apologize for the noise in your room and we will do some investigation to see if there is anything we can do to avoid this is the future. Best regards, Jørn kristian, Front Desk Manager.

We booked this hotel for one night on a roadtrip through Norway. We saw this amazing price on booking.com and jumped on it... Our room (502) faced the parking lot and the big street.. So it was a bit noisy, but not excessive. The room is a bit old and could use a makeover. The carpe is all stained. The bathroom is ok nothing to say about that. The bed was really comfortable! Well for our taste it was! ;) Breakfast was better than expected! Lots of fruit, waffles, eggs and bacon,... The Coffee wasn't so good, but that's the only set back for breakfast! You can make a lunch for 95kr. All the staff was really friendly! All in all a good price to quality ratio !
