Where to begin? Our flight was delayed so we arrived around 1.45am. Wenche, who runs Darby's Inn with her husband Paul, very kindly stayed up for us and we were warmly welcomed. This friendly style of going beyond what might be expected of b&b hosts continued throughout our stay. Both Wenche and Paul are naturals! Wonderful house, super clean and... More

We had a perfect two night stay at Darby's Inn in June. Paul and Wenche were very welcoming and interested in helping us make the most of our visit to Stavanger. Their hospitality is as warm as it is professional. They provided great restaurant recommendations, gave easy to understand directions for walking to various places, printed public transport timetables for... More

Darby's Inn was the perfect place for us to stay while we visited Stavanger - it's a convenient location in a beautiful neighborhood. The house is gorgeous - the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable for relaxing. The room we stayed in was very comfortable; the linens were so soft and the bed was fantastic. Wenche was a gracious host.... More

I can not say enough about this lovely B & B and the host and hostess. My friend and I were in Stavanger May 5 & 6, 2016 for a-ha concerts. We found this lovely place and stayed the 5th and so glad we did. The location is great, near bus stop and other sites. The rooms are exquisite, the... More

My mother and I had a lovely stay at this charming inn. The owners are warm and were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us with things like reservations and directions and parking our car. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious - we even had a balcony! There is also a place to make tea.... More

Stavanger is a very expensive place to stay during the week, and after having stayed in the expensive hotels in the city centre, I decided to look for something else this time around. After having read the very good reviews for Darby's Inn, I decided to give it a go, I did not regret it! It's absolutely perfect, with wonderful... More

We arrived to Darby´s Inn by car and was immediately welcomed and offered to use the house garage, they even moved there own car to make room! We got a quick tour of the unique house and got the keys to our cosy room. The hosts are very polite and nice and with the help of them we could easily... More

We were thrilled with our stay at Darby's.. We had been staying at somewhat minimalist hotels in other parts of Norway. This is so beautiful and the Darby's are so friendly and welcoming you do feel in your own home away from home. Not only is the whole place beautiful, but the rooms are good sized. We also enjoyed being... More

Dear Profs, Thank you so much for your very kind and generous review. It was an absolute joy having you here and I am absolutely delighted that you have taken the time to give us such a positive review! Our second visit here and it was again fabulous. Great location, comfortable and immaculate accommodation. The house is historical and so beautiful. Delicious breakfast and such friendly hosts. We will be back. Stavanger has so much to offer, lovely restaurants and an easy trip by car to view the fjord.

We had a lovely long weekend at Darby's Inn in Stavanger. It's a fabulous old Norwegian house full of character and beautiful decor, and with all the mod cons we needed....and only a short stroll to the city centre....which has a great choice of restaurants and bars. Our hosts Wenche and Paul, were so welcoming and made us feel at... More
