The staff was unprofessional, rude and not welcoming one bit. Went out in the evening and when we came back the reseptionist meant that we didn’t live here and we had to insist on us being guest there before we were believe . There was no warm welcome at all, and I felt i was met with hostality. Would not recomend, the place looked old and worn. Again would not recomend

Hotel's Favorite
I read both positive and not so much reviews before staying at the Comfort Hotel Stavanger, but my own experience was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and good with anticipating and fulfilling various needs such as recommendations, transport etc. The hotel isn’t new and it showed, but I liked the urban roughness and style of it. It is located smack dab in the center of Stavanger, with great transport and exploration opportunities. The Flybus arrives and departs just on the other side of the street. The room (a single) was very nice, with sparse, but adequate furnishings and a nice bathroom with soap and shampoo. You can ask for a glass or hairdryer at the barception if it is needed. The only thing I missed was a mat to avoid a wet floor after showering, but I used the small towel for that, so that works. The cleanliness level was high and even the cleaning staff were very friendly - my experience other places is that they usually ignore you or hide away if you walk by. I loved how eco-friendly the hotel was - every detail, down to a bag to donate used clothes, was thought of. The bed was nice and comfy. The only thing missing is a small drawer or closet to store clothes in, as I was staying for a few days and did not want to store my clothes in the bag. Also, I could do without the giant tv and maybe have a nice picture/shelf instead. The room milieau was ok, but since I happened upon unseasonably good weather, it got pretty hot due to the huge east-facing windows. The windows didn’t open very widely, I guess because of security reasons, but I believe it could be a problem with heat in the summer. The black curtains helped though. I read about some noise complaints from other reviews and must say that it could be a problem if you’re a light sleeper. However, since the location is so central, a bit of noise is to be expected. If they’re having renovations any time soon, I’d suggest that double or triple glass windows is the first thing to consider. The breakfast (and kitchen crew) was wonderful, with a good European and local selection. The pancakes were definitely the best part. Also, the dining area is really great with panoramic windows on two of the walls, so you get a view as you eat as well. All in all, the hotel is great for a very good price. Everything is in arm’s reach, the service is fantastic and if your priorities are comfort and simplicity coupled with an economic sense, I highly recommend this place.

Stayed here in June. Extremely central. Good if you are on a budget. Offers a decent breakfast. Room is small but you don't need much if you're travelling alone. Grocery shop across the street. If you're on a budget you just can't go wrong with this hotel.

The hotel is located in the middle of the city so it is a good choice if you are looking for a central location. The staff is friendly and service minded which always is a good thing and helps to make the hotel experience better. The rooms were ok. Sleeping quality in the bed was ok, but the pillows were extremly small. The room is, as the rest of the hotel, pretty old and in need of some renovation. They were painting the walls in the leveator while we were there, so it looks like the renovation budget is pretty low. However, it's an ok hotel and good value for the money.

Cheap hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff 24/7. Situated in the centre, near the known church, restaurants and shopping. Perfect if you only want a place for the night. Not too big, and quite old, but clean rooms.
