A very good hotel. The room was more than adequate, the location was convenient to both the bus and railroad stations and to the harbor area. The breakfast was scrumptious and included omelettes made to order. The restaurant (Social Club & Bistro) was very accomodating.m Would stay there again.

Hotel Stavanger, part of the Clarion collection in this Norwegian city, provided us with a safe, comfortable and easy 7 night stay. The showers were hot and full force, the included, breakfast had limitless choices, including vegan and gluten free and most rooms seemed to have wonderful views-either of the Skaggen-wharf or the lake park. The hotel was central to the wharf, the museums, great dining and wonderful walks. We had one problem. We were advised that our missing luggage would be placed in a space to the side of the desk and we would see it when it arrived and that we need not ask everytime. By day 3 we asked and this new staff person said they would check in a locked room… voilà. There it was and had been for 2 days. Bit of a “downer” that but not enough to give less of a glowing review.…

Great hotel, good service- clean and relatively new rooms- good breakfast and close to town , 4 minutes walk to the harbour and restaurants , museums and bars. Bathroom is a bit small , ( however very clean )but apart from thati can recommend it!

Excellent location near Stavanger port and old town. They served up a wonderful breakfast spread, provided super comfy beds and had lovely helpful staff. In short, a good hotel in the Clarion chain. Some confusion on billing (I stayed as part of a larger company group) but nothing that was t resolved quickly and amicably.

Nice hotel located at a okay location in Stavanger City. Most people associated with hotel are service minded and smiling. The included breakfast is top nudge and give a good solid background for the day. The room was clean but a little outdated.

We stayed here for 3 nights this week. This is with out a doubt one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at in our travels around the globe. We were lucky enough to get room 1407 on the top floor. Because the hotel was built on the hillside overlooking the harbor our room had spectacular views. We’re guessing this is the case for all of the rooms. Breakfast was an extensive array of hot and cold foods. Even omeletes! Bonus, the kaffe was really good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Stavanger central bus station and all of the restaurants in the city’s center. If you have time, make sure you go up to the Espier Bar (Spy Bar) on the 14th floor. The views are probably the best in town and their prices are very reasonable. Benjamin and Juaquim (Ethan Hunt) were excellent mixologists and a lot of fun to talk to. FYI, Benjamin is an award winning mixologist. He didn’t say anything. My lovely wife looked him up on the internet. Don’t miss staying here. We’ll stay here again! Takk skall. Bra jobb Clarion Stavanger!…

Ok and modern hotel. When your lucky with a right room, you’ll get a fantastic few over Stavanger. Location is perfect, only few hundreds of meter to the old town. Downs: - a bit lame stuff, eg no asking how the room was - umbrella inly available by luck, but you can buy one (and later dump it) - a bit tired room e.g. minibar door was broken/ spots on the walls - bathroom had ugly spots at the sealing and after i took a bath the hole floor was fully (ca. 4 cm) flooded All this means that the room maintenance is poor. Nevertheless, the breakfast buffet was very good, only the bread and selection of rolls was poor
