We spent a couple’s weekend in Stavanger and stayed at the Clarion Hotel. We arrived in the afternoon and the receptionist made us feel very welcome. As it turned out, we had been upgraded to a large room on the top floor, with an amazing view of the city and the bay. The room was quiet and clean, had a minibar and coffee machine, and we had a good night’s sleep on the comfy bed. All in all, a very good experience, and we will certainly come again when we next visit Stavanger!

We had multiple times problem getting a elevator alone. The elevators were way to small to be more then your group. We booked a suite, thinking it would be something newer and bigger then a regular hotel room. We had a lovely sofa with chairs, but missing a table. In the bath tube we found a flying ant, the next neighbor under or on the side smoked a terrible sigarett, making the whole room smell terrible, and we had to have the windows open because of the destroyed climate control. Middle of the night there was a race outside out room, plenty of party happening in this hotel. Breakfast was good, but not covid19 compliant in holding the golden meter as the hotel calls it. We are locals that was staying a night away from baby first night, planning to get a good sleep and not all these problems.

We stayed two days. Our room at the 13th floor had a fantastic view over the city. Beds are comfortable, bathroom clean with accessories. The crew is very service minded and kindly to deal with. Breakfastroom is quiet with wide offers. Parking garages with contact for electric cars near by. Central with 10 minutes walk to the center. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in a suite. But the standard was bad. Dirty bed, bad mattress. No coach. Difficult curtains. Didn’t recon nice me asa gold member. Even during covid 19 the breakfast was the best to recommend at this hotel.

Dear Ollepus Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel. This is important to us and we do appreciate all feedback we can get. This summer we have many gold members and platinum members staying in our hotel, and unfortunately we don't have enough rooms to upgrade everyone. IF this is what happened during your stay, you should still be informed about this during check in. I am also so sorry to read that the cleaning was not the way it should, and this is something we will take action on immediately. During these times it's extremely important that our guests feels safe. Good to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast, and I do hope we will be fortunate enough to welcome you back to our hotel in the future! Kind regards Elisabet & Team Clarion Hotel Stavanger

2 errors. When checking in, bad service - the receptionist wanted to charge when I said I had already pre-paid. Made me feel stupid and I paid again. Noticed next day the dubbel charge. When checking in for 3 nights, we also got no information that there's no house keeping due to corona. Next day when everything's on the floor and we get the information, I ask for an exception since we didn't get the information on check-in. I hear how the two receptionists discuss if one of them should do it since housekeeping went home. Since no one wanted they told me no and even made me feel stupid for asking (again). That's poor service for the price paid.

Dear Mr Artman First of all let me thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Clarion Hotel Stavanger. I am so sorry for your experience, and what you describe is not our standard procedure at all. We trust our guests, and I am so sorry about that miscommunication or misunderstanding you had to deal with. Regarding the cleaning, our procedures are meant as a safety precaution for our guests and our employees, but when asked for, we are definitely supposed to do clean the room anyhow. Again Mr Artman, I am so sorry for your experience at our hotel and I truly hope you will give us another chance to prove ourselves in the future. Kind regards Elisabet & Team Clarion Hotel Stavanger
