Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I was here one night. I got parking right outside the main entrance (public, not the hotel's). Here it was free from 18:00 to 08:00, so there was no big expense for parking.
The hotel is centrally located in the city, and if you have a room facing the sea on the upper floors, you will be in close contact with Hurtigruten when it is inside, and when I woke up in the morning there was a giant cruise ship right next to it. I think that kind of thing is kind of stylish.
The hotel itself was very cramped. The breakfast room was cramped, the room was cramped - and the bathroom was terribly cramped. I spent the night alone, so it didn't matter so much that the room was cramped - but I don't appreciate having to sit at an angle on the toilet.
Thon tends to have very good breakfasts, but unfortunately some of them have breakfast at Egon's - and it's not as good.
I chose this hotel because it was in the employer's policy. If I can choose another next time, I probably will.

Nice and clean hotel in the middle of Smørøyet in the city. Pleasant, attentive staff. Plus for a private balcony in the room that I got. Special experience when the Hurtigruta train arrived in the evening and docked right outside :) The only "negative" was that the kettle in the room did not work ;P and that there was a bit of noise between the rooms/floors

The room and hotel was very nice located in city. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, business room with an ocean view and was very happy with the size and cleaning. The room has everything but a minibar. The coffee machine is really great but we had to ask after the first day for more coffee since they did not refill. Unfortunately the room gets very hot and there is nothing the staff can do other than supplying a small fan that does not help very much.

Typical chain hotel with good location to explore Atlantic Way. A bit loud in the late evening due to ferry cruise Hurtig routes stop over and busy during day due to cruise ship, you scenic view is a giant ship during these times. Free parking at hotel is limited, but staff advised on free parking in walking distance which worked out. Breakfast is great indeed. Near shopping district and good to reach at least 4+ restaurants nearby. You can have good dinner at hotel restaurant which is an Egon restaurant brand, pretty relaxed and broad choices on menu.

Nice hotel with a good location close to the city centre. The staff was welcoming and serviceminded. The breakfast was great. I had a single room which was very modern with a comfortable bed but it was not the best sound isolation.
There was free parking outside with 2 chargers for electric cars. Just ask the staff for a parking permit.

Great location and great service too. I got the top 8 the floor suite room that fcan see a beautiful fjord at my big Windows in room and surprising again with the2 big Cruiseship visiting at lat evening and in the next morning there is a big german Cruiseship come visiting too. So happy that I could enjoy the beautiful hotel room with great fjord and Cruiseship view and Nice breakfast too.

Nice and very helpfully staff. Provide parking place free of charge. The location in next to the hotel and can be laying just outside the hotel window. The breakfast is in general good compared to breakfast in Central Europe. Compare to other hotels in Norway the breakfast is average. The shower was good but the toilet was located in a way that you need to sit 90 degree to the normal position 😀

The staff are friendly and the breakfast is more than okay.
For the cost and level of the hotel, I don’t think you can beat Thon Hotels and the Thon Moldefjord is no exception!

Well located. Free parking in front of the hotel. Well decorated. Large bright comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. The only problem was that the weather was a bit warm and we need to open the windows. Early in the night, a cruise ship stop at the pier in front of the hotel for loading stuff. It was noisy for about an hour between 8:30- 9:30 p.m. However, the windows were well sealed when closed. Even with this set back, we can recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Molde.

Minus: Tiny single room. The hotel has it's breakfast at the Egon Restaurant. The night we came we thought it would be nice to eat dinner there. But that was a horror, too many people and so messy especially during these corona times. The next day we had breakfast we were so happy it was all clean, but the breakfast menu was a let down for us.
Plus: My room had a nice view, my friend had a view of the parking and a fan. The hotel has the beautiful refurbished Thon design.

"can take a bus to airport. The bus we took doesnt stop exactly at the airport. Iabout 400m. There is a walkway for pedestrian. Its goes under the highway. Bus 701 i think"
