We chose to stay here for one night during July 2020. The location of the hotel is great. You can’t get any better location downtown Bergen. When checking in we were greeted by a young male receptionist. He was busy doing other work outside the reception area when we arrived, which is quite understandable in such a small hotel. However when seeing us he shouted “name”, and walked to the reception. After giving our name he handed over our two keycards and told us that breakfast is in the cellar. No “welcome” etc, we felt like we were more to an annoyance. The room was standard room with a bit fancy colours. The room faced Torgallmenningen (main square), which was nice. There were separate WC and shower in the room. The sliding doors did not close properly though. The safe is located almost on the floor, which is a very strange and not that practical for use. In our room the safe was broken, which we informed the staff when checking out. The bed was a queen bed, but it felt very soft and worn down. This is of course a matter of preferences, but way to soft for our liking. The breakfast was very good and delicious. It was hard to find a free table for guests as they arrived, as it took some time for the staff to clear the tables after previous guests. If you choose to stay here you will most likely have a nice stay. The location is very nice, so is the breakfast. When it comes to the room and quality of sleeping we found it not that good.

Prince was one of the best bell clerk and doorman ever! He gave us a your of the hotel that lasted 45 minutes at 2am in the morning and helped ensure the Dity Manager, Alice, took care of us the next day with private viewing of some of the most exclusive rooms they have. Niguel tool is to see their secret Penthouse that can cost up to 100k Mop a night! Wish we could have share thenoixtires but it wasn't allowed. Other pictures can be shared and the ride on their $2 million USD custom made RED Rose Royce gained with gold dust and encrusted with Diamond was amazing as eyes we're on us as we exit the car in front of the Galaxy Casino

The Good: The location is great. Right in the heart of Bergen and walking distance to the sights. The service was also good. Friendly and helpful people. The breakfast buffet was good, and we ate burgers here for dinner one night and they were tasty. The Bad: The bed was soft. That's a preference thing, but I didn't find it comfortable. The safe was almost on the floor in the corner of the room. To use it, you had to get on your hands and knees wedged between the bed and the wall unit the safe is installed in. The towel rack is behind the window curtains in the bathroom. So if you want privacy from the world, you have nowhere to hang your towel. The "closet" where you can hang you coat/clothes has a hanger bar that runs front to back, rather than side to side. So you can't grab one thing off the rack without either removing everything else, or fighting with the space to extract your desired item. Style over function... The Ugly: Again, it seems that style was the only thing considered when planning the rooms. Flashy colors and hip furniture, but poor functionality. There is no modesty here, as there is no door on the bathroom. No barrier at all. The glass shower door just inside the threshold has a artsy vinyl sticker on it, but otherwise you are on display for the room. They were kind enough to put a sliding glass door on the toilet area, but the room is tiled all the way around creating a volume enhancing chamber. If you were to, let's say... play a 'trumpet' in there, it would echo and be very loud for both you and anyone else in the room. Additionally, there is no exhaust fan, nor any windows that open in the room. So, any notes you might play on your 'trumpet' will linger in the air. For hours, and hours. You might even leave only to return later in the day to those notes still lingering in the air. Overall, I would not stay here again. It might work for single travelers, or those who have no modesty, bad hearing, and no sense of smell.

The Hotel No 13 is a cozy, small and relatively stylish boutique hotel in the centre of Bergen. The reception area is combined with the restaurant bar - surprising but works well. My room was nice, with elegant details, in the bathroom in particular. However, the room had now windows, except for a whole wall of frosted glass in the bathroom. There was also no desk to do any sort of work. Breakfast was very nice, a great selection of quality items. But coffee was only from a dispenser / container.
