Good value by Norwegian standards. Adequate, comfortable 4 bed dorms. Excellent view. Difficult to get to for late flights, as #12 bus stops around midnight. Proper breakfast with great view included, which saves you money! Adjacent to the Mount Ulriken hike, which is the mountain behind it, and a great introduction to the lovely vista over Bergen. No brainer really.

We stayed here based on a friend's recommendation, and have stayed in hostels before. If you are planning on going hiking this is probably a good location to be. Otherwise, not recommended for visiting Bergen, as it is a 15 min bus ride from the city, but there is only 1 bus every 30 mins and 1 every hour on... More

In Bergen there are not many options to stay for 1-2 nights at a cheap hostel. So this is the best option. It's clean. No wifi in the rooms. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! Close to the bus station close to Ulriken so you can hike to the top and catch the incredible sunset. Would recommend.

The best thing about this hostel is the view from outside, all of Bergen! It is about 20 mins from the Bergen busstation on one bus, but the journey is worth it as it is in a beautful location and the views are spectacular. There is a good kitchen with fridges and stoves and everything you need to cook. Breakfast... More

The single rooms are decently priced, clean and quiet. The common areas are well kept and fun. The location is a hike from the city center but has its charm. Breakfast is buffet style in a large cafeteria with a good selection of food. Overall a very good option of traveling on a budget.

I stayed at Montana with family for a couple of days. It's a proper hostel with all facilities quite well laid out. The hostel offers two shared kitchens and shared washrooms and showers. All the facilities were quite clean and well maintained. The view of the city from the hostel is spectacular. The common areas, living room etc are well... More

Awesome common area, really good place to chill, play games, meet people and the afternoon coffee was very nice. Breakfast was very good, lots of stuff to eat and drink. Kitchen is huge and very organized, which is very good since we cooked a lot (prices in Norway can be outrageous sometimes). I had a really good stay at Montana,... More

Most of the reviews say that the location is the downside of this hostel. I booked this hostel as the rate is cheapest I can get in Bergen despite the location. However, when I reached the hostel, I don't regret that I chose it as the view of Bergen from here is amazing! If I were not at this hostel,... More

I wouldn't normally leave reviews but after seeing a few negative reviews about the location I decided I would. Ok it is not central but after hoping on the nmber 12 bus I was there in less than 20 minutes where I was met by friendly staff. Later I walked back to the center following the cycle route which only... More
