We got a free upgrade which was nice. Only downside was that we had to leave early to get to the airport and they couldn't pack us breakfast since we would miss the complementary one in the morning. Everything else was great... including the staff and location.

We were not happy. A lot of noise from the street and neighbours. Poor and messy breakfast in a very poor and messy breakfast-room. It is actually just sad, because the dining room has a lot of potential, but it felt like eating in an cafeteria. Very disappointed.

The Hotel is located in the center of town. We had a good view over the city. The rooms are old, and need some upgrade. But it has a lot of charm, and the staff is helpful and very friendly. I have been here before, and will definetly stay here again.

Nice big room, very helpful staff. Parking available under the hotel but not owned by them, make sure you pay. There are lots of reminders. Breakfast not as comprehensive as in other hotels but still ok.

Service is very good and the rooms are larger then normal, giving you enough number of chairs and a place to work. The hotel is in the centre only one minute from the Hansa bridges and two minutes from Fløybanen.

First visit to Bergen and the First Marin Hotel was great. We liked the almost nautical feel with all the wooden floors and furniture. Our room had a good view over the harbor. Very helpful and friendly staff with excellent English.

Stayed here for one night on a trip to Bergen. From arrival, to requests, to departure, the staff was incredibly helpful and patient when explaining their city to a couple of new people trying to get around. The room was spacious (for a European v American hotel room) and several amenities, including a huge breakfast, available. The hotel itself is...

It seems like a few buildings have been interconnected to make this hotel. Definitely have staff take your bags to your room if you're staying in a wing that has stairs in the connecting hallways. My parents' room looked like a ski lodge, complete with exposed wooden beams - whereas my room was devoid of any design at all. It...

When I arrived to my room, the window was open and the temperature slightly above freezing point. The so called fitness room was nothing but a couple of running machines and looked rather shabby. This hotel needs a new makeover. The breakfast was good though...

Well, one knows how norway isn't synonymous with good hotels, and this one says it all. Double rooms are ok, at least clean, and yet doesn't have a fridge (common, this belongs to the basics!!!), Personal: some are friendly and helpful, but not everyone...breakfast buffet is far away from the European standards: bread options , not enough fruits, bad quality...
