The hotel was chosen by our tour operator and was a little out of town & uphill. We very much enjoyed the traditional Nordic breakfast, the rooms downstairs were stylish and modern. Our room on 3rd floor (no lift) was not so stylish, the wood furnishings were tired, it had sloping ceilings and the bed was very snug in the slope. The bathroom was also cosy with a wet room approach. There are a few dining options available in the area but most of the attractions are in the town. Our review would have been graded higher with a different room I suspect.
Charming accommodation, close to the city center. Clean and comfortable and friendly service. A pleasure of an unforgettable stay. I recommend this accommodation to all visitors to Bergen. Thank you very much for the attention received.
Good little hotel in a very nice place of Bergen. A little noises from other rooms and corridors were a little annoying, but otherwise it was a very nice stay. The breakfast was very nice and the waffles in the afternoon ☺️
Hey, thank you for your attitude, girls in reception are the best and during the breakfest time chef even made vafels for our 2 year old daughter as a surprise 🤗 we stayed in room 209, it was good. Just it took few minutes to turn on television, needed to download app and too many steps for watching tv instead of just turning on and watch 🤭🤗
First and foremost, it is a lovely little hotel at Nordnes, a beautiful area of Bergen. Staff is kind and welcoming and the rooms look tidy and have dark curtains - big plus for that. On the negative side: The air in the rooms was quite damp/moist at arrival - and later again, after a shower.. The sliding door to the bathroom doesnt really close tight so, i would not be comfortable going to the bathroom living with another person here.. for me alone, no stress. Breakfast : All though I wish there were more than one choice of vegan milk (soy) for cereals (oat, almond etc.) the buffet was really nice and a big plus for the many choices of delicious tea !
A small, cozy hotell in an old building. The staff is polite and we got A warm welcome. the breakfast buffet was adapted to the number of guests, so that food waste was minimized. the hotel is centrally located, among Bergen's older, beautiful buildings.
it is a nice and comfortable hotel in the middel of the old town of Bergen, very kind people and very good homemade breakfast with much fish like usually in Bergen the room was comfortable and always clean, window with a view on the roofs of the old town
Nice clean rooms and good location. Nice view from the upper floors. Bahtub is a huge plus. The breakfast is not your generic ”continental” but includes a lot of fish, and meats, like deer, pickled herring and smoked whale. All in all nothing was lacking, especially for this price range.
Location ist good - not loud but close to the city and the port Breakfast was good Room clean Bathroom newly refurbished Friendly and always helpful stuff No elevator - stairs could become a challenge for some people
This is a light, attractive hotel in a traditional building with friendly staff and a calming feel. My room was in the roof which I was unsure about at first (and there is no lift) but with three huge windows looking over the city, a comfortable seating area, lovely bathroom, fridge and kettle I came to love it. Buffet breakfast, again in a bright room, had excellent fresh bread and a good choice. But I've knocked out one star because I'm not a fan of meat or fish for breakfast so my personal choice was limited. The location is great - walking distance of the centre. But take care if you have mobility issues. It is at the top of a hill with steep climbs either side. Having said that, the climbs are mostly traffic free and very pretty. Very close to the hotel is a great, friendly coffee shop/bistro for cakes or supper.…
