A wonderful hotel in the city centre of Bergen. We got a nice room in the third floor. The family room is very spacious and on two floors. The staff was helpful but not overly friendly. Breakfast is good and a wide range but not enough tables to cater for all the people.

Because of my profession, I have an interest to stay in any nice hotel just to experience different design. I booked a superior room and it was really lucky that i got a room with the old facade window which has the colourful glass. I have to say that’s unexpected and definitely a highlight of my stay. The room with stylish choices of materials and textiles is comfy, clean and spacious for one person. It is also enough space for a bit of document work if you are on a business trip. Great selection of Mini bar as well. The services is very good, front desk colleagues are very patience even the terminal machines connection was unstable. Colleagues in the restaurant and Bars are also professional, showed me around, talk a bit about the bar before I sat down. All in all, it was a great experience. I will definitely come back.

Top location just opposite the fish market in the city center. The photos of the rooms and facilities are authentic. Very cool design, but still practical and good quality. Bathrobes and slippers in the room (first time in Norway to find this). Got an upgrade for additional NOK 200 so the room cost NOK 3'000+ for 2 nights in mid September, which is great value for money.  Why I didn't give it 5 but 4 stars: The staff was friendly, but didn't go out of their way. When the receptionist tried to book a table at their attached restaurant Bare, she found that a credit card was required. Instead of offering to sort it out for me (it would just have cost her a phone call to the restaurant manager), she just told me to go online and book it myself.  The recommended car park where the hotel gives a discount on (Kloster Garasjen) is a 5-6 min walk away and to drive from and to the hotel from there is tedious. It's also a dilapidated and smelly car park, which is in stark contrast to the hotel.  The room was quite cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature ourselves. The blinds go up when you enter the room and down when you leave, no way to control them yourself, either. At night you have to manually pull the curtains. Don't see the point of high tech if you still have to use the no tech solution.  All in all a lovely experience and definitely one of the nicest hotels in the whole of Norway.

Room Tip: Room upgrade was worth the slightly higher price, bigger room size made it much more liveable.

We stayed here for 1 night when visiting Bergen. Fantastic location and the staff are polite and friendly. The rooms were well appointed. I thought the COVID protocols over breakfast were a bit of a disaster. For some people, that won't be a problem, but it was for us. No spacing between tables resulted in us leaving the breakfast and eating elsewhere.

We stayed at the Børs hotel for 4 nights while visiting Bergen and wouldn’t consider any other hotel in town. The location is unbeatable, the building beautiful, the breakfast a real feast, the bar in a beautiful setting and with original cocktails priced fairly, and above all, the staff is just great: professional of course, and also very helpful and kind. It was just too bad the BARE Michelin-started restaurant was not re-opened yet so it is a good reason to come back in September! We saw the restaurant room and it look amazing! Thanks to the staff for this amazing stay!
