I stayed here for 12 nights, the first week to attend a conference, and then an extra 5 nights as a tourist. It was a great base in a quiet neighbourhood in the old centre of Bergen, with everything in walking distance. Particularly the proximity of a vegetarian cafe was great. The rooms are spacious with a table and chairs and your own sink, and as everyone notes, everything is permanently super clean. Excellent wifi but no TV. The owners are lovely. This place is fantastic value compared to all other hotels, I really enjoyed my stay - highly recommended!!

I found this guesthouse via a guidebook, it was highly recommended and I was not at all disappointed. The location is a block up the hill, which is not too strenuous a walk at all and offers great views of the city. The rooms are very comfortable, the shared kitchen and bathroom are spotless clean. And the hosts are very welcoming.

Stayed here for 4 nights and was very happy with everything. The prices are reasonable, the room was a decent size and very clean. It was handy to have a sink in the room. The bathroom was shared but didn't have to wait to use it. It's also got a nice kitchen guests can use. Coffee and tea are provided. Perfectly located in Skivebakken for exploring bergen. It's about 5 mins walk from bergen rail station and not far from Bryggen.

Owners were very warm and friendly. Our room was clean and had a sink, though the bathroom was a shared one. But throughout our stay, we never had to queue to use it. Our room location was the first one right beside the main entrance, with the windows directly facing the main street, so privacy was an issue - since the curtains were barely wide enough to cover the windows, and anyone outside could peer in from the side. We solved this by using clothes pegs to clip the curtains together. The location was quite decent though, just a few minutes walk (downslope) to the city centre. Prices were very reasonable too.

This is a lovely guesthouse. Elisabeth and Alf were very welcoming and our room was spotless and comfortable. We appreciated having the well equipped kitchen and did not find sharing the bathroom a problem. It is an easy walk to the heart of Bergen and we would definitely stay here again.
