We stayed at this hotel for one night. This was the worst hotel at our Norway trip. Some old hotels can have charm but this one was old ugly and totally overpriced considering what you get. The size of the room was ok, but it looked like the hospital room, especially bathroom. You have this "institution" feeling. Old tv, no... More

The worst ever "suite" as it was noisy, no view and no ventilation. The personell was not interested in doing their job with a smile and friendly attitude. And the price was only based on location and not what you get.

Located in the center of this wonderful summer city. But that is about it. Poor maintenance. No parking - add NOK 500/day for parking unless you shall walk 15 minutes. The rooms looks like from the 60-ies. The beds are awful. No air condition. And the worst, sound insulation is non-existent. A paper wall separates you from your neighbor's snores,... More

We stayed at the Victoria in August 2010 and had to climb the stairs with luggage to our room. This time, the hotel had very few customers. We were given Room 104 which is an apartment right inside the main door. It has a balcony and looks over the harbor. We were there for 3 nights. Their big celebration, Norwegian... More

Nice hotel, although a bit worn down. We had a suite with a balcony with a great view of the sea and the neighboring island. Breakfast was quite simple, but ok. A bit late downstairs and the choice of food diminished. All in all a nice stay, but at a bit high price.

Never the same person at the reception . Do not even look up from their screen when you pass by and greet them ( guess the... More

We were a big bunch of colleagues on the annual bike trip and the target was Kragero. Weather was nice but cold. Rooms ok with ok beds. Breakfast standard but no more. Out in the evening and everything within 20 walking steps. Pity that we had sun but the cold wind was bad.

We stayed in this Hotel mid of June. If you seek for a quiet good night of sleep, this is the wrong place to stay. There are bars opposite the street. Lot of people shouting and staggering around just in front of the hotel. However, staff is very friendly.

You will find this pearl in the middle of "old town" overlooking the waterfront of Kragerø. Free parking available from 6 pm to 8 am. The rooms are plain, but with decent standard. Staff is very attentive and contributes to a good athmosphere. The breakfast was ordinary.

This is a great hotel, large bathroom and a bedroom, with a kitchen and living room. you go directly out onto a large veranda, with sea view and 20 metres to the pier. the hotel is located right in the heart of the city's shops, bars and cafés. It is also with the possibility of parking. The service of the hotel... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the very heart of Kragero you simply can't miss the characteristic pink building known as Victoria Hotel. The hotel was built in 1880 and has been run under the name Victoria Hotel since 1901. The small coastal shipping town Kragero in Telemark has been a popular holiday destination for the well-founded, artists and writers from the beginning of the 19th century. The hotel has 33 rooms in various sizes. All from comfortable single-rooms to larger suites. Many of our rooms has balconies, each with a lovely sea view. All of the rooms are newly refurbished in a classical continental style with a maritime touch. Dark shipdeck flooring in combination with light colors on both walls and ceiling, clean styled furniture and tiled bathrooms in all of our rooms. Several of the rooms also have modern and well equipped kitchens. In the summer-season, the many narrow streets in Kragero is filled up with sunshine and tourists. It's amazing how much activity one can find all around in this little town, almost around the clock. Kragero offers lots of consert-arrangements and teeming boat life in the summer. But this coastal city also changes colors in harmony with each season. From September, the town's pulse starts slowing down and Kragero becomes an idyllic place to take a break from everyday life. Feel at home, away from home. Our rooms are not only furnished for accommodation but also for a few hours with possibilities to enjoy the view from the balcony, read, watch TV, work, cook or simply just to enjoy the feeling of relaxation without any obligations. ... more   less
