Good location - short walk to the train station and local attractions. The staff was helpful. The facilities are clean but average - there is only one bathroom for a dorm of 8, and they charge you to rent linen. The wifi in the room was *very* spotty.

Anker hostel has a fairly central location, which is nice. As is the Norwegian way, they charge extra for literally everything. They charge extra for bed linen - but if you don't use bed linen, you get fined - and no, sleeping bags do not count as bed linen. So this is an obvious scam because what kind of hostel-goer... When I stayed in Anker Hostel I met a variety of people. Some of them were quite strange. I had to change the room after I felt really uncomfortable in the first one, because there were some really creepy people in there. As i travelled a lot I'm used to all kind of travellers, but I felt an unease so... More

Very Clean and frendly hostel. Spacy rooms with minimalistic but functional furniture. 5 min walk to city center. Very helpfull and nice stuff. Kitchenette in room. For the minus is that bed linen and towel are extra paid. You can not use sleeping bag. General impression very positif.

The Anker Hostel definitely does its job as a hostel - you have everything you need, a clean room, a bathroom and a little kitchen unit. The staff is friendly but seems a bit "cold" just like the rest of the hostel which was totally fine by me since I just stayed here for a few days with a friend... More

I stayed here during a 3 day visit in Oslo. I was surprise that my room has a kitchenette inside: so practical when you're travelling on a budget. The bathroom is also in the room. My room was big, but has no lockers or space for leaving our luggage. But, it wasn't neccesary because the room was big enough for... More

There aren't too many hostels in Oslo, however this one is a reasonable priced one. Location is good even though the feel is more like a hotel. The stay was comfortable, the staff friendly and they have an awesome terrace bar where you can sit and chill with a few beers !!

I was in a room for 8, the place was clean enough, with a bathroom in the room and basic kitchen amenities. Walking distance to the city centre. Poor wifi, very unstable. You have to pay NOK 50 extra for bed linen, unless you bring your own. The reception area is a bit misleading though, the rest isn't that modern... More

I stayed here for my first visit abroad to a foreign country (sure as hell picked an expensive city to visit) on check in though, I met a lovely young American girl who helped me out with things to do locally, hot spots in the city and other info. She provided paper guides and maps too! My room was basic,... More
