Stayed here for 2 nights, it is acceptable, a bit expensive, but clean rooms and free wireless internet which is easy to connect to. Nothing glorious about this hotel except maybe for the morning buffet it was actually quite good and a lot to choose from. The hotel is a bit tired would need a renovation in a few years...

I stayed at Best Western Hotel Ankar just last weedend 04/04/08 and I would like to make a comment. Though I would like to point out that the staff were very helpful and friendly , and the hotel very clean, the rooms were unbelivably small. There were 3 of us and so we ordered a triple room, but they gave...

My girlfriend and I stayed there for one night in late March. Our rate was 970 NOK, which seems like a going rate for Oslo around March. It did seem quite expensive to me because we paid about that much for a room in a very exquisite and nice hotel about a week before in other place. So at least...

I use to stay at this hotel as it is has several advantages; very central in Oslo but still easy to find by driving, plenty of to parking places (however very expensive parking) and definitely the must important advantage is the rather low price. Internet use to be included in the price and available in all rooms but it is...

Overall, this hotel is functional. The corridors look a little like a hostel, but the rooms are OK. They are small and the bathrooms are at best functional. But for what you pay, this is not a bad option. You get a reasonable hotel that is clean and in a good location. If you book a single room, you get...

Our room in the Anker Best Western in Oslo was small and spartan, but adequate if you just need a place to lay your head. The Good: 1. The breakfast buffet, which had everything you could want for a hearty breakfast...and MUCH more! The sheer variety of the offerings was staggering. If you're idea of breakfast is loading up for...

This budget hotel is in quite a good location, not too far away from the cathedral/city centre by foot. 15-20 minutes from the central station. Oslo is a very expensive city and the Anker is one of the cheaper hotel options, especially if there are deals to be found on agents' websites. The rooms are quite small, but functional -...

Stayed here for just one night getting a cheaper price through one of the online agents than the hotel's own website. As people say, small room, small bathroom but adequate for an overnight stay. Plenty of breakfast but quantity was its only real virtue. Bar service appalling - receptionists deal with requests when they can be bothered and with total...

We were glad to only spend one night in the Hotel Anker. Not a bad location, but a good walk from Karl Johans Gate and the Central Station. The room was small and the bathroom smaller. It looks like they just converted an old hostel into a hotel. Keep looking.
