A pleasant surprise in this rather expensive city. The rates were reasonable and included breakfast and dinner. It is conveniently located to many of Oslo's attractions and there is a trolly stop about one block away. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be booking again.

It's our national day, and we all gathered for a big lunch.the food and service was excellent. But the restaurant buffet interior need a new style, and for this lovely area, a french bistro, open all day, would be perfect! The Hotel deserves a proper restaurant:)

First the pluses: * Excellent location in a beautiful and quiet area close to the city center * Good and friendly service * Good breakfast Then the minuses: * The hotel is really worn out and there was a lot of dirt in the room both because of the age but also because of poor cleaning * Air quality in...

Hello. Thank you for your objective review, and for listing the good points first:-). As to the negative parts, I totally agree with you, that some rooms in the hotel DO need a renovation, and it is planned in the nearest future. We have now started in one room which will be the start of continuation for the remaining rooms...

If you're travelling to Oslo by car this is a perfect hotel. It is situated just outside the most busy city centre and includes free parking. We stayed during a out of season weekend and were upgraded free of charge. The wifi was very good. Breakfast was more than adequate, good bread, eggs cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.

Some of the rooms are on the small side, but the beds are good. On the whole it is a hotel with a realy nice atmosphere. A...

Stayed one night in Clarion Collection Gabelshus as part of Norway in a nutshell. I have stayed a few times at Gabelshus, hoping to make this my regular place in Oslo. I normally stay 3-5 nights, and appreciate a good hotel when I see one. Hotel Gabelshus is within walking distance to the city centre (20 minutes) and a tram service takes you there in 6-7 minutes. Tickets can be bought at the kiosk...

The rooms are on the small side, but perfectly workable. The first room we had was a bit older and all the lights were on a master switch - annoying since the two of us adapted differently to the time change. The staff kindly found us another room. We could turn on one light at a time which worked better...

Dear guest, Thank you for your positive feedback. The price might seem high but taken into consideration the price level generally in Oslo as well as the evening meal that we offer free og charge to our guests hopefully makes the value justified. Have a nice day and welcome back for another occasion. Best regards, Naira Lalayan. GM
