We stayed in this hotel one night. The hotel is placed very centrally in the heart of Oslo and is close to many shops, attractions and tram stops, etc. There are no parkings on this hotel, but you can use Sentrum parking that is 10 min walking and costs 380 NOK per day. Our room was a bit small and had poor ventilation. It was a relatively warm day in Oslo, but the temperature control in our room was not working, so we had to open the window. Bedsheets were clean and bed was comfy, but there was a hole in one of the bath towels. There was no towels to step on when coming out of the shower; the shampoo bottle was very small for two people; there was no cups by the sink to store toothbrush. On the plus side, there was a kettle in our room and some tea bags. Breakfast was very good and we had many options. The only downside with breakfast area was that there was a bulge in the floor of the eating area, which could cause people to fall. I think that shall be fixed ASAP! There didn’t seem to be lots of attention to COVID spread in the breakfast room, but I can’t see how they could protect against that while also serving a continental breakfast!

Dear Azadha, Thank you so much for your great feedback. We are happy to hear that you had a nice stay with us here in the heart of Oslo. We are sorry about the temperature in the room. We do have som fans to lend out from front desk, and in our next life we really wish for an air conciton as well, since the temperature is rising every summer. We have already fixed the floor in the breakfast room. There was some damage due to water leakage, so it had to dry for some days before we could fix it completely. We are very concerned about the Covid 19, and follow all the strict rules and regulations from the Norwegian Health Department. They allowed buffet breakfast again from end July and since our guests love our buffet, we had to get it back as soon as they gave us the permisson. We have made glowes and face masks available for guests to use when helping themselves to the buffet, and we also clean and desinfect all tables and chairs, and the area around the buffet between every seating. We really want to do our utmost to prevent the virus from spreading. We hope to welcome you back soon again and wish you a wonderful week! Warm regards, Guri Vada General Manager

No problems with this clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are compact but quite ok. Bathroom clean with plenty of hot water. Staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags there after checkout (12 noon). The breakfast buffet was most satisfactory. We paid 905nok.

Super breakfast. Asked Laura and she gave me more bacon. Beside the coffee machine it was a coffee dispenser with warm coffee. You didn’t have to wait until someone was ready at the coffee machine. Good bread and everything was very good and super service. I will definitely stay here again. And very local to the Main Street in Oslo. Enjoy your holiday and staying.

The room was tiny (we presumably had the cheapest smallest room offered but even still compared to other budget rooms we have had it was small). Poorly light, no fridge and we had to get basically right under the bed to plug in power points which wasn't pleasant. The hotel promoted booking tours through reception for a discount but staff were not helpful, one did not know how to and the other told us to go to the tour location and book in person + they provided incorrect information about tours and public transport. Upon check in to the hotel we were told breakfast started at 6.30am so the following morning we went down At 6.30 however the room was locked we then were told it was actually 8.00 am as it was the week of Christmas. We understood the reasoning but we were again mislead and the only sign mentioning this time change was in Norwegian which we cannot read. This ruined our plans for the day as we intended to be out of the hotel by 7. Breakfasts were good and the location was convenient. The room was clean and tidy as expected. Would not stay there again. Not because it was terrible but I suspect there are better hotels nearby for the same money.

Dear 550devins, Thank you so much for your important feedback. We are sorry to hear about the misinformation about breakfast by check in. We should of course know ouf own breakfast hours and inform you correct. We had one sign in English by the elevator, and one in Norwegian by the breakfast room. We are as helpful as we can be when it comes to information about sights and tours, and we also help book when the offices are open for phone bookings. I guess since it was christmas that many offices was closed and just open at the spot of the sight. If we gave you any wrong information we are truly sorry about that. Hopefully you still enjoyed Oslo and we wish you a happy new year, and welcome back. Kind regards, Guri Vada Hotel Manager
