We just got back from a 6 night stay at the Thon Hotel Vika Atrium and I can immediately tell you we would stay again. We arrived later in the day after a week in London and were immediately greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome. When we made the reservation (a Junior suite), we did ask for the sofa bed to be made up and they immediately made sure we knew it was ready upon check-in. Upon arriving in the room, it was very clean, comfortable, well ventilated, and to our surprise we had a fruit basket waiting for us in the mini fridge (amazing touch!). In addition to the mini fridge, the room has a Nespresso maker and an induction tea kettle for hot water. The bathroom was spacious and perfect for family use, there were bathrobes and slippers which was an appreciated amenity. While we didn't have the breakfast at the hotel (we were up and out early to experience Norway with a friend who is local), I can tell you that the offerings are plentiful and quality... you won't be disappointed.
The location could not have been beat for getting around Norway easily, well situated between two tram stops (Aker Brygge & Ruseløkka) both within a 5 minute walk, Nationaltheatret station is a 15 minute walk... and you are also 5 minutes from the harbor area with tons of dining options.
The staff was tremendous at the front desk... attentive, friendly and kind.
To sum it up, not only would my family stay here again, I highly recommend you to give it a try, I can't imagine a bad stay!

Stayed here for 5 nights this time round and for 4 nights back in 2019 (something got in the way in between😊).
Great location, lovely staff and really good breakfasts. By Oslo standards it is also good value for money.
Location in Aker Brugge makes it very easy to access attractions, local restaurants and the extensive ferry system (you should really use these].
Would I change anything? Yes change the ice dispenser for a water fountain and turn the external lights off at say 1200 so not disturbing sleep of light sleepers Thinks these simple requests proves how satisfied Iam..

Check in was seamless, which was appreciated due to a long day of travel. Therese was the front desk Receptionist, and was very helpful to us multiple times. Thank you Therese!
As soon as I checked into the hotel it felt a bit odd, and couldn't quite put my finger on it. When I got into my first room, # 413, I was shocked to see outside my window about 10 feet away was an office filled with people that could see directly into our room. Apparently this building used to be a high school or college, and one half is now a hotel the other is for offices.
I requested a room change, and our view from ourother room on the other side of the room had a much nicer view.
The hotel itself is nice enough - the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and the shower was great. But the decor in the hallways made it seem more like Vegas.
I had previously stayed at another Thon Hotel for 5 days prior to this hotel, and I was a bit disappointed to see that the breakfast was the same at both locations. Wish they could mix it up a bit.

The hotel facilities are very basic and the room is very bare, with bad closing to avoid light, but the worst thing was the attention at reception on our last day, today Saturday in theory breakfast started at 7, we were punctual because our train It left for Bergen soon, but... surprise!! Plus at the hotel: Service, cleaning and breakfast at the hotel are tip top. Location is centrally close to Naikersuppa and Aker Brewery. Public transport such as tram and bus are only minutes away and they go all the time. Minus at the hotel: Working in the building with concrete drilling makes daytime relaxation impossible. The entrance to the hotel is right in from the main street,it is not clearly marked and easy to overlook. The work in the building is mainly because I do not recommend the hotel for weekend stays.

You will not be disappointed if you stay at Thon Vika Atrium hotel. I was totally blown over by how clean, quiet and comfortable this hotel was. We spent two night here at the end of June and the hotel was full however we didn’t hear another soul. The beds and pillow were extremely comfortable so slept very well. The breakfast had a magnificent range from cereals including granola to yogurts, fresh fruit, 4 different Norwegian breads, cheeses, antipasti, salads, cooked breakfasts, pastries and gateau. Everything was delicious. Coffee, various herbal teas and fruit juices available. There was also a gluten free and plant milks availability. All round I would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to revisit as location of hotel near Aker Brygge fantastic. Staff are courteous and helpful and wish them every blessing.

The hotel is very clean, spacious, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. breakfast was very nice with lots of varieties and good taste. Staff in front office and during breakfast were so helpful. Location is very close to National Museum, Akker Brygge, places for dining, hang out, relaxing. If they provide slippers in the room will be perfect as the floor was so cold for me. I will come back if i visit Oslo again.

Large room. Clean and practical with a large bed, large seating area and writing desk. TV with Chromecast. Little/no noise from people and transport in the streets outside.

Catastrophic cleaning or lack thereof. Came to a room where there were peanuts on the floor, a half-empty energy drink in the bathroom and a pink scraper in the utility room - sticky. The bed was ready, but I have never experienced anything like it. The reception staff couldn't do anything - they were friendly but alone on duty.
